You are taking a "response" and trying to turn back time to a point prior to the implementation of these policies/ex-actions and alluding to it as being "planned", as if all these groups knew ahead of time what Donny would specifically do before he took office. It is a conspiracy theory, but then, that is the environment your lot has created. From Q-anon to eating pets, it is all just one big bag of shit, and you just keep producing new bags of shit out of the crap Donny dumps. The creativity, the effort is astounding and bemusing. I will never understand how one gets this deep.
The reality is, those of us who read and believed Project 2025 knew exactly what he was going to do. You also had to believe Trump was a liar as he declared he had nothing to do with it. As of today, over 50% of P-2025 has been carried out with plenty more to come.
So, if one was paying attention, it would have been easy to prepare for Trump 2.0.
Nope. He doesn’t have the power to violate the constitution, or the laws Congress passed. Congress passed the law specifying what documentation is required to be provided. Harvard provided it. DHS asked for information outside of what the law says Harvard has to provide. That requires a warrant. Harvard said as much. Trump then violated the constitution by attempting to revoke the students visas and harvards certification. He can’t do that, and he was slapped down in court. Again. Because he keeps violating the constitution. Why do you support such a lawless, anti American piece of shit?
Harvard saying it needs a warrant in order to release the information requested perhaps protects Harvard itself from legal jeopardy.
But it does not hamstring the government in its exercise of enforcing immigration law.
The government is violating immigration law. Trump doesn’t have the authority to arbitrarily revoke the student visas, nor remove Harvard’s certification.

Assuming DHs actually has that authority government actions can't be arbitrary or capricious. Singling out Harvard because you don't like the fact that they pushed back would seem to be not only arbitrary but down right retaliatory.
Perhaps Noem should take a course on the Constitution. It turns out that Harvard has started a free online course on Government and the Constitution. Maybe then she can learn why calling the President Clown Prince Trump is not something that can be Prosecuted. She might even learn what Habeas Corpus is about.

But the point that Mycroft makes, time and again, is that the left is operating on a grand conspiratorial design with Soros as a puppet master, it is a theme he uses a lot as I showed with the forum search. Sure, the left knew how Don acted in v1, and the P2025 gave outlines of what was coming, but his point was that the left is coming after the admin in a coordinated master plan. If Soros contributed monies to an NGO, automatically he controls that group and any other.
I don't see the Koch Bros as masters, they have their groups they fund, but they are not grand wizards, neither is Thiel or Leon, yes their money spends but they have their own interests and all seek to put a guy in that helps those interests, but are they coordinated extensively...I don't think so. Most are hyper capitalists in competition to see who can make the highest pile in a zero sum game.

Anyone who brought up project 2025 was met with oh Trump doesn't know about it. Doesn't help the media are glorified stenographers that just said, oh Trump says he doesn't know about this.
Biden and Garland really were the worst people to have after Trump. Two spineless sacks of shit afraid of rocking the boat and treating Trump and the GOP like what they really are, a hate group that cosplays as a political party and that are fascists. Instead we act like we HAVE to listen to their opinions like we shouldn't be taking them as an actual terror threat and danger to the nation's safety.
Him winning the popular vote has made it easy for this shit to go on and be normalized as well. Worst way for him to win. The biggest issue is he never should've been allowed to run after Jan 6th and trying to get places like Georgia to over turn the election by finding him more votes.

Funny how he's real quiet about Musk actually doing that lol.
I find it interesting, he's gotta believe in the conspiracy theory that Soros, a jew (this is just an anti semetic trope), is this all powerful puppet master with unlimited funds. All while backing a party and dictator that willingly let the richest man in the world fund them and get all these contracts who has been trying to influence a Canadian election, a German election, world wide elections in general clearly, and even dumped millions into a state supreme court election in Wisconsin.

Let's start off by stating there were protests that were somewhat violent and antisemitic at Harvard. What DHS asked for was behavior records about students of international origin, or more simply evidence they engaged in violent protest that was witnessed and complained about to the faculty at Harvard. DHS was told they were not going to get those records. DHS then decided pull Harvard's ability to enroll foreign students and pull their Visas. Because if you are going to endanger other students based on your religious beliefs, you can leave the US, visiting to learn here is a privilege and not a right.
This is what it is really about, in simple language.

1. "The government must follow the procedures outlined in, 8 C.F.R. 214.4, which require formal notice, a meaningful opportunity to respond, and time for students to transfer or contest their loss of status. Ignoring this process by punishing both the university and its students on 72 hours’ notice is a violation of the fifth amendment."
Warrant is required for what they requested. Nope. BTW, where is the link to the court decision that you said stopped the SEVP revocation?

2. "Without a warrant DHS can lawfully obtain only the narrow SEVIS data set: identity details, address, program/grades, status changes, and disciplinary action tied to a criminal conviction.
Everything else such as non-criminal discipline, non-criminal misconduct, and protest activity falls outside 214.3 and is shielded by FERPA unless DHS brings a valid subpoena or court order.
The Trump admin is once again breaking the law. And Trump supporters are once again defending Trump’s misconduct."

3. "The government needs a warrant for most of the information it's asking for. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act permits Harvard to share only the narrow information that immigration rules explicitly requires such as basic identity, program, visa status, and any discipline tied to a criminal conviction. Harvard would violate the law if it provided anything more without a warrant. And by demanding the records without a warrant the government is violating the Administrative Procedure Act."

There’s no law that lets DHS force Harvard to cough up the extra protest videos and private files it’s demanding. This heavy-handed push violates the Administrative Procedure Act, due process rights, and the First Amendment. Enforcing immigration rules doesn’t give the executive branch a pass to ignore the Constitution or other statutes. Case closed.

Her letter says nothing. She doesn't reference any laws that Harvard allegedly broke. She demands information but doesn't specify what laws give her the authority to make the demand.
And I would point out that Harvard claims it provided the requested information in any case but Noem found it "insufficient." Not at all clear she can make that determination.
The worst of this is that, when Harvard was willing to provide the requested information, a letter was then sent to Harvard by mistake asking for all the absurd stuff illegally, and because Trump and co. can't issue an apology for the mistake, they go after Harvard like the fascists they are. It's all because they make a mistake and can't apologize.
She was a governor, and she didn't know what habeas corpus was.
When I got my first full-time "permanent" job after college, I realized for the first time that the world really wasn't run by even B+ students. But I thought it was run by C+ students. I failed, because now it's being run by those who got Ds and Fs. I apologize.
