You can see a swat team approach and use explosives on a residential door to arrest a man who got into an auto accident with them.

He wasn’t home.

But his Girlfriend and two children were.

This is serious police state shit.

There was an interview that Oprah was involved in (I still can't locate it) where lingering racism after the US Civil war was discussed. One of the participants made the comment that not enough Confederates were killed, and that is a reason why we still have a lot of racism. For me, after studying Altemeyer and authoritarianism, I don't think literal extermination works, because we all have that tendency to be authoritarians and to follow them. It is a part of our inherent psychologic make-up, some have more of it than others. Nurturing, the culture, can allow it to be expressed more easily. I think the best we can do is as a culture is to minimize the chances for it to be expressed generally, but we use it and rely upon it for war. The US is a violent, militaristic and lenient society when it comes to aggression/dominance by others, we have never really come to terms with it. Religion/philosophy should be the path to self control, but there are so many forces that work against it. I think we are never going to overcome this since we now have weapons that can destroy all life and humans just have not learned to control themselves.
