Fascists and Nazis on DP?

Whilst I'm sure "Fascist" and "Nazi" get thrown around as a slur on DP quite a bit, I'm still curious to know if there is anyone out there who identifies as either or more generally the far right.

It's a bit of a long shot I'll admit as it's not exactly very common and is hard to fight your corner, but its interesting to see if anyone on DP explicitly goes that far.

If however you described it as the government style as done by Chile under Pinochet, or the dictatorships of South America in the 70s and 80s you would find a lot of people who would express support

It's worth a try. I've known one or two on another site I was on, but they did keep a low profile as it was more liberal leaning.

Like Communists, there are very few actual fascists or Nazis on Debate Politics.

There are a few who appear to lean in that direction, but they're a bit more complicated than just straight up fascists or Nazis.

I take that's people who love the military so much they want to be ruled by them and get rid of civilian government entirely.

I could see some of the religious conservatives expressing support for a Pinochet style government. In which social mores are enforced by the government, and the state plays a strong role in people’s lives, and directing the economy while still allowing for private enterprise. I won’t name names of people I could see supporting that style of government but I could see about 5 active members supporting it. Add in racial immigration policies and then add in another 10, but they might not like the social conservative laws

It's occasionally useful to have someone express extremely unpopular views that may still have some intellectual value even when you disagree. Having a small minority of people from either the far left or the far right on a discussion forum adds perspective because liberals and conservative essentially support the same system of government, and maybe with a constitutional amendments here and there to adjust it.

There is no proof of Allende wanting anything more than the socio economic system that much of Europe had at the time, including Sweden and or France.

I would suggest reading “ The Pinochet Files” for information on what the US did to Chile during the lead up to Pinochet and the destruction of a Democracy by the YS

I can't name them without getting infracted (I suspect), but we definitely have some people that fit either or both bills.

There are some all-in racists who are clearly not saying everything they mean, and people who support straight-up fascistic practices when they align with their political/worldview (but call any policy they don't like the same).

The odds of finding conservatives, moderates who support the GARBAGE ideology of fascism and Nazism is pretty damn low! There ARE small, insignificant groups of racist Nazi wannabes living in broken down trailer parks, or crappy homes in the middle of nowhere. But despite the "news" media's fear mongering, they are more of a threat to themselves than to anyone else! The left have continuously exploited the 1 person allegedly intentionally targeted and run over in Charlottesville Va a few years ago by
a far right lowlife. But they very quickly buried the mass assassination shooting against republican congressmen by a Bernie Sanders campaign worker, not to mention the DOZENS of people "peacefully" murdered in the "peaceful BLM/Antifa protests"!


Honestly, 99% of the basic political and ideological beliefs held by conservatives are literally opposite of the fascist/Nazi ideology! The original fascist, Benito Mussolini was originally a communist, a Marxist, who adjusted his basic Marxist ideology into fascism. Hitler was a National SOCIALIST, who's Nazi ideology was also based in Marxist doctrine and dogma!

Some people like to claim that his war against the Soviets was proof that Nazism is opposite of communism, but thats like saying the Iran-Iraq war was fought because Shia and Sunni are "opposite religions". They are BOTH Muslims!

The Nazis HATED Slavs, Russians, Jews, and they believed they needed VAST swathes of new land to build the 3rd reich on. Thats why they went to war with the Soviets! But socialism/communism/fascism/Nazism are based in Marxism, and they have lots in common with one another, and almost nothing In common with the conservative movement!

Well, theres no shortage of far left these days! Unlike the conservative movement, which on average has provably moderated in the past decade or two, the overall average on the left have very rapidly lurched further left, in an obvious and provable way! The most clear evidence is that traditional liberal beliefs are now often demonized by modern leftists, including free speech, which is now viewed by MANY leftists as "dangerous, racist and fascistic"!

They've practically ended free speech in higher education, and they DEMAND ideological and intellectual conformity! Now they are trying to bring it into government and everyday society! Remind me, were real fascists in favor of free speech, or did they attack people for daring to speak the truth? So, as you can see, the left referring to traditional liberals and conservatives as "fascists" is the ultimate in projection!

Back in the 80's when I was an Exchange student in Australia, the father of the family I was staying with idolized that guy... *shudder*
