Farmers Threatened Thanks to US Govt

Those groups have not been tied to illegal acts, but concerned agriculture advocates fear the information can be spread to dangerous militants.

Yawn. The farmers are not threatened. This is an example of stretching what's actually news along with throwing in conspiracy theory.

As a farmer/rancher in SW Ok, I can say I am not threatened by the disclosures to three rather respected organizations. The information was not 'wiki'd' but rather send to three organizations who returned the originals and accepted the redacted files.

As the OP report says the information was already accessible by the public, the biggest farmer/ranchers in any particular county are available on public websites. finding their address is just a google away.

This is so much stuff and feathers.... :peace

Since government loves oversight, an independent group made up of state by state representatives could be created to provide 24/7 oversight on the EPA. Both the EPA and IRS need oversight and transparency badly.

Ranchers, farmers fear eco-terrorists after EPA releases private info | Fox News

You know probably 25-35% of these guys hate the government so much they can honestly imagine this was done on purpose, and worse than that no one will likely even be fired for the failure. That's how ofailure roles.

Holy ****! That is not the kind of mistake that can be allowed to happen. Heads need to roll, procedures need to be revamped, this can't be allowed to happen. Totally unacceptable by the EPA to do this.

Maybe my farm isn't that big, only 612 acres or producing land and about 2500 more not in production but used for cattle, antelope hunting and my personal shooting range. Now please by all means go forth and find my address with your beloved google and tell me how that goes for you? BTW I even have my location referenced in my presentation here. When you can list my address please do, otherwise please take your leftist hyperbole and place it where it belongs.

Have ecoterrorists ever attacked a farm?

Dude, you obviously struggle with feelings of persecution.

These 'bad guys' you think are out to get YOU and not out to get YOU (or me) but big time farm factories, or feedlots. (your not much of a ag man if you call pasture for cattle 'not producing' ) Not qualifying for a government handout if not 'base acres' for sure but it is productive land. Is it really your Daddy's place?

The discussion was being able to get someone's address and land they own- land they lease is a bit more difficult- through public records. Fact is all land is listed in every county Courthouse, is public and can be looked up. When I see a place up for auction, or just see a place I like I can go to the county, give 'em road directions. They convert that to the legal, and who is the property tax payer of record. Their mailing address is a very simple step.

So if I saw a nasty feedlot on your Daddy's place I can easily look up who owns it, all their other properties and find their mailing address.

But you play the CON game and want ONE unknown place picked out... silly CON. You are the one using CON hyperbole. :2wave:

LIKE I SAID, I don't fear the release of public information to the three agencies, as the article YOU brought in says, the information is public record.

Oh so you can't find my 3rd generation family farm? Oh so you were lying through your teeth and making stuff up to fit your progressive socialist fanaticism. Ok thanks for letting me know who I can easily ignore as one who makes up crap as they play on the keyboard.

1. Animal Rights groups are not eco-terrorists, because protecting the environment is not their goal. They might be animal rights terrorists.

2. If people want to target factory farms, they don't need a list to do it, that information is available in many other forms (ie. Google earth) and factory farms can easily be spotted just by driving by. I bet many farms have a public website also.

Is yours the one at the junction of 140 and 292 or the larger one with the round grassy fields on the other side of 292?

We are not very close to the highways or the air strip. And by the way the assessors office has the property holder as a trust, with our law offices for an address and our personal information could only be obtained thru our attorney. After he tells us someone is asking, but sadly the folks we lease too are probably on the EPA's list and they don't deserve it.
