Lusby, Maryland (CNN) -- A conservative activist known for making undercover videos plotted to embarrass a CNN correspondent by recording a meeting on hidden cameras aboard a floating "palace of pleasure" and making sexually suggestive comments, e-mails and a planning document show.
James O'Keefe is an asshole of major proportions:
such venom...
Care to defend him and his ethics or just scoff at people that actually criticize someone when they do something stupid?

I'm a little more concerned with acorns ethics, but then again, underage prostitution does bother me, I wouldn't make an excuse for one of my employees like acorn has.

It bothers me also, which is why I was relieved to find out that those videotapes that they released were highly edited and distortions of the actual events.
You must not employ James O'Keefe cause you seem to doing a very good job of obfuscating and changing the discussion for him here and something tells me you'd do a great job of making excuses for him if he were.
Good job changing the subject btw. Heaven forbid we discuss the subject of the thread.

Why is this news?
This isn't in breaking news, it's in the bias in the media section of the site. Sometimes news that you don't care about gets reported. If it doesn't interest you it's very easy to just not come into that thread rather than actually taking time out of your day to post about how you don't care about the subject.
How is it "bias", it's more "news of the wierd"?

How the **** are people still under the impression that ACORN tried to help O'Keefe set up an underage brothel? What rock do you live under where you haven't heard how that video was edited to show the opposite of what actually happened?
:failpail:
James O'Keefe and the myth of the ACORN pimp | Media Matters for America
"And no, by pointing out the holes in the ACORN sting story, I'm not trying to excuse what was captured (illegally?) on tape. Everyone knows the embarrassing mistakes the poorly trained, low-level ACORN employees made when dealing with O'Keefe and Giles. That situation, and the continued fallout surrounding it, is for the organization to deal with."
even from a left wing hacked site this can't be denied.
My rock is a 5000 sq foot home in one of the richest counties in NJ, what rock sir, do you reside under? :ssst:
In the case recounted in the March 2 Times story, the transcripts show that O'Keefe did not portray himself as a pimp to the ACORN workers in Brooklyn, but told them that he was trying to help his prostitute girlfriend. In part of the exchange, O'Keefe and his accomplice seem to be telling ACORN staffers that they are attempting to buy a house to protect child prostitutes from an abusive pimp.
unedited videos have never been made public. The videos that have been released appear to have been edited, in some cases substantially, including the insertion of a substitute voiceover for significant portions of Mr. O'Keefe's and Ms.Giles' comments, which makes it difficult to determine the questions to which ACORN employees are responding. A comparison of the publicly available transcripts to the released videos confirms that large portions of the original video have been omitted from the released versions.

Why is this news?
It's news because the left has to do everything in their power to discredit the man who exposed ACORN, because they are incapable of defending ACORN's actions.
That's just how it works with them. When they can't win on merit (which is most often the case), they attack the opposition and try to destroy them, so they can win by default.
Can't defend Obama's economic policy - Attack Bush and republicans.
Can't defend Obama's radical/socialist ties - Attack and attempt to discredit Glenn Beck and other conservative pundits.
Can't overcome the Tea Party's message - Attack them personally and accuse them of being racists.
Can't overcome town hall opposition to Obamacare - Brand them as radical, race based "hate mongers".
Can't overcome America's Judeo/Christian roots - Attack Christians and brand them as "radicals".
Can't argue success of tax cuts - Invoke class warfare and vilify the rich.
Can't defend historic failure of socialism - Attack capitalism
Can't argue historic success of capitalism - Brand capitalism as supporting "greedy" corporations that exploit the poor.
Can't justify democratic support for Iraq war - Accuse Bush of lying about Iraqi intelligence reports
Can't defend the race based decisions from Obama's DOJ - Attack the credibility and motives of the wistleblower.
Can't defend the racism of NAACP and Black Panthers - Blame slavery and call white people racists.
Can't defend the failure of welfare - Cry "discrimination" and call America a racist nation.
Can't defend ACORN workers supporting illegal activities - Attack the person who exposed it.
Like I said... That's just the way they do things.
And that changes the acorn workers advice how?

Advice on how to get a house so young girls can be prostitutes.
Gee, I wonder.
Next, the "tax evasion" advice was exactly the opposite: the ACORN lady suggests they always pay taxes on all income, even if the source is illegal. That's literally the opposite of tax evasion. Prosecution of hookers is not the mandate of the IRS, nor ACORN, they don't care what you do for a living.
