Fake pimp from ACORN videos tries to 'punk' CNN correspondent

If that was the case, you don't think some shark lawyer would be suing the hell out of okeefe? you don't think the prosecuter would be going after okeefe? please, the lengths one has to believe the improbable is laughable here.

He was sued and Okeefe turned over the full tapes and transcripts as part of an agreement to not be prosecuted. When you make claims like this you should check and see if they're true first.

so they got thier jobs back? O'keefe had to retract? really?

He didn't have to retract because lying isn't a crime. I think he did get have some legal trouble with his break-in and wiretapping deal, though.

The ACORN employees didn't have jobs to go back to, because before these investigations could complete, congress pulled their funding. Damage done.

Are you still going to cling to these champions of truth and justice?

edit: and I think the civil suit is still ongoing, so he wouldn't be forced to retract from that yet even if that is part of the settlement

You really should read up on the situation, since you don't seem to know what's going on at all. Google works.

who are New York Communities for Change?

:failpail:

Fact is they did give said advice ACORN all but admitted it. O'keefe was fast and loose with the truth as well, that however does not absolve the Acorn folks of thier wrong doing.

"An internal ACORN investigation concluded that ACORN had poor management practices that contributed to unprofessional actions by a number of its low-level employees.[83][84][85] On March 1, 2010"

I think okeefe is a joke these days, I also think ACORN was a democrat front group paid for with my tax dollars who had a bunch of idiots in thier midsts.... Perhaps you should put down the blinders and admit what your peers seem to readilly acknowledge.

See wiki which is a highly biased article even admits this.

It's news because the left has to do everything in their power to discredit the man who exposed ACORN, because they are incapable of defending ACORN's actions.

That's just how it works with them. When they can't win on merit (which is most often the case), they attack the opposition and try to destroy them, so they can win by default.

Can't defend Obama's economic policy - Attack Bush and republicans.
Can't defend Obama's radical/socialist ties - Attack and attempt to discredit Glenn Beck and other conservative pundits.
Can't overcome the Tea Party's message - Attack them personally and accuse them of being racists.
Can't overcome town hall opposition to Obamacare - Brand them as radical, race based "hate mongers".
Can't overcome America's Judeo/Christian roots - Attack Christians and brand them as "radicals".
Can't argue success of tax cuts - Invoke class warfare and vilify the rich.
Can't defend historic failure of socialism - Attack capitalism
Can't argue historic success of capitalism - Brand capitalism as supporting "greedy" corporations that exploit the poor.
Can't justify democratic support for Iraq war - Accuse Bush of lying about Iraqi intelligence reports
Can't defend the race based decisions from Obama's DOJ - Attack the credibility and motives of the wistleblower.
Can't defend the racism of NAACP and Black Panthers - Blame slavery and call white people racists.
Can't defend the failure of welfare - Cry "discrimination" and call America a racist nation.
Can't defend ACORN workers supporting illegal activities - Attack the person who exposed it.

Like I said... That's just the way they do things.

How about something more original, you've already used that graphic once in this thread.

:eek:t

So far, other than the OP, you have made 4 posts in this thread and none of them address the OP. In case you missed it the first time...pot, meet kettle.

Wow, way to miss the point of this article, conservatives. This shows how O'Keefe works. He even says that the idea is to manipulate the situation to gain power. He lied to CNN to get them to send a reporter all the way across the country to trick her into being humiliated on camera. He lied and lied and lied and manipulated to get what he wanted: his enemies to look stupid.

No, the left is not trying to discredit him, rather, he has been discredited.

I think you need to work on your reading comprehension. While I don't defend O'Keefe's actions, it appears CNN has been trying to run an expose on "young conservatives" and wanted to interview O'Keefe in a different venue. He refused and simply tried to change the location in order to embarrass the reporter. Yes, his actions were pretty stupid, but it wasn’t his idea to get CNN to talk to him.

For months, CNN had been following a group of young conservative activists, including Christian Hartsock, the director of the music video. The activists will be featured in a documentary, "Right on the Edge," that will air October 2 and 3.

Uhhh... so you just didn't read the article at all, huh? CNN is doing a story on young conservative journalists, they asked O'Keefe to participate, he invited the reporter to his office to have an unrecorded conversation while secretly planning to get her onto a boat surrounded with sex toys and relentlessly hit on her while recording every moment. He could have just said "I don't want to talk," but he invited this journalist to come to Maryland. I don't think I need to work on my reading comprehension, I think you need to work on your reading.

Reading comprehension. Learn it. Love it. Please, for God's sake USE it. Seriously, what are they teaching kids in school these days?

Hartsock said O'Keefe did not want CNN to shoot on the set of the music video, but said he would encourage O'Keefe to call CNN to discuss the request.

Wasn't O'Keefe's idea.

On a scale of 1-10 for newsworthy, this story ranks a big fat "0".

In reality, this story has nothing to do with what took place with CNN at all... This story is about taking down the man responsible for exposing the dishonesty and lack of ethics espoused by employees of ACORN, which eventually lead to the demise of the entire organization. It's revenge... plain and simple.

Since the left couldn't defend the actions of those ACORN employees caught on video, and because they were a huge political allie, so weren't capable of accepting repercussions ACORN suffered as a result of those actions, they immediately went to plan B... To destroy the credibility of the man who had the nerve to expose ACORN, in the hopes it would make people question the validity of those video tapes.

Instead of accepting that ACORN was facilitating tax fraud and knowingly turning a blind eye to morally reprehensible acts such as child prostitution, and doing so all in the name of garnishing support for the democratic party, they put politics above right and wrong and decided to go after O'Keefe.

Like I said before... That's just who they are.

Get with the program Grim, CNN was preparing a story on young conservatives, so your hero, James O'Keefe, decided he would embarrass CNN and the reporter, so he decided to punk them. He called CNN; not the other way around. Watch the video at the OP link.

The only part that I agree with you about is that this really isn't news. O'Keefe doesn't deserve attention from the media, and I'm sure he loves seeing people argue about what is and isn't true instead of agreeing on the facts and disagreeing on our conclusions. Oh well. No sense in getting sucked into that game. I'll stick with Ninja Gaiden.

Gosh, even your buddy, Brent Bozell at MRC, denounces this action by James O'Keefe:

Are you still sticking by O'Keefe's side?

Google "acorn pimp hoax." The video was doctored to show something that didn't happen. It still shocks me that people aren't aware that the ACORN thing was faked by O'Keefe.
