Explosions In Norway

I guess Im wrong because the news says he got on a ferry in Oslo and went to the Island. I am looking for this Island near Oslo and am unable to find it. Google does not recognise Nordic names for some reason.

It is the far right of European politics based on xenophobia and anti-immigration feelings.
.

And the far left was able to impose its ideas without public participation and their response to the consequences is to blame it on "the far right of European politics based on xenophobia and anti-immigration feelings". This is the usual response from leftists when their hair-brained schemes run awry. Their history is peppered with equal mixes of farce and vanity, and they're always are shocked at the inevitably disastrous results from their theories..

They apparently could not foresee the idea that people would protest at losing their culture and liberties. Instead the left came up with another of their Grand Plans that would eventually fall into place with everyone happy and content with the new European order. And in fact, they even promised that it would be a counterweight to the Americans. That's a combination of xenophobia, arrogance, propaganda and political nativity in itself.

What happened in Norway was insane and we should never allow excuses for these ugly and inhumane actions. But perhaps lessons can be learned from this tragedy regarding those who feel they are intellectually superior to 'the masses', and go on to decide and dictate what's best for them. There will always be the law of equal and opposite reaction, as well as that of unintended consequence.

Ok, I found it. Norway is confusing. It is in Tyrifjordan Lake. Major brainfart on my part...

You all are wrong. The Island is 500 miles from Olso. Look at google maps satilite image of the Uytoa Island in Rossvetnet lake. It is the exact shape and distance from shore as the one they are showing on the news.

Apologies for my rather snide remark regarding distance.

Why are these views "chilling"? Many people share them.

But a belief they obviously don't share is the murdering of innocent people.

Look here as well (Massacre suspect is Norwegian : Views and News from Norway).

You sound like a leftist trying to justify an Islamic terrorist act. They'd also place a little caveat at the end saying they disagree with the act itself, but it never would have happened if it weren't for the governments policies.

It seems more important to discover the labels we can use on each rather than seeking out the causes that are creating such disharmony among the people.

We have religious people putting forth their reasons for their terrorist acts and this guy is going to be questioned about his. Judging from his blogs his ideas aren't that far from the mainstream. Many are against losing their culture, resent the lax immigration laws, the corruption in the UN and so on. We can recognize that without killing innocent people.

I've been instructed by the moderator not to use the M words so cannot make the obvious comparisons between alienated and overwhelmed cultures.

Actually. on rethinking your post, I believe you're right.

It's too early to start moralizing about this ugly tragedy. It's just to emotional.

Thanks for the heads up.

All this nonsense really saddens me. From Muslim to right wingers, from apologists to finger pointers, only few come to the conclusion that this was a very disturbed person, and nothing but.

O.K.

Speculation was rising that he’s linked to right-wing extremists, not Islamic terrorists.

Again I'll ask, how do you get "facts" out of speculation? Is this not the very thing that was done in the Giffords shooting? Speculation that lead to accusations that lead to making many people look pretty foolish?

Here is my speculation. We are going to find a mentally unstable individual who espoused many wacky beliefs.

Aha, yes indeed.

Ummm why is that?
Step one:
1.Buy a knock of uniform.
2.Gun
3.We know the rest sadly...

reports have him using a fully automatic military weapon. not something you can buy legally in any place in Europe

I know this is off topic but, why does a political party have a youth camp?
Seems wrong.

The Nazis called it the, "Hitler Youth". Not sure what the Nors call it. The only way for Leftist ideology to prosper is through education.

Naziism and is not far left - they are the extreme right wing. Communism is far left. One of the first radical things Hitler did was purge the Communists in Germany. He took back German properties from France and other nations that were stipulations as part of the Treaty of Versailles, but industries were not collectivized.

The gunman in this case is clearly attacking the left. Please get your facts straight.

The only thing made clear so far is that the ruling party seems to have been targeted.

I suppose in your opinion the College Republicans, the Teenage Republicans, and the Young Republicans organization are excluded from your judgements for no reason other than they agree with your political persuasion.

we will teach our twisted speech to the young believers
we will train our blue eyed men to be young believers

Extreme left, extreme right-the millions of dead bodies don't care

Yeah, that's what you say now. How about when it's someone on the left being violent? You don't talk about liberal violence ever?

The facts? Communism and Facism are both based on socialism. Before Musssolini and Hitler were facists, they were socialists.

Another fact? This wasn't, "attacking the left". It was most probably an attack on the government and there isn't much Right Wing government in Norway. Even the, "Right", is Leftist, by American standards.

Exactly right, because those are student orgs that are strictly voluntary and not administered by the government. The same goes for Left wing student orgs in the United States.

Actually just repeating what the expert on the Murdoch owned Sky News... you know.. same company as Fox News..

So you like Fox News. That's official, folks.

Their parties were called Socialist but they were anything but. Just like how China's government is called "The People's Republic of China", it's not a Republic whatsosever.

The term fascism can technically be applied to any kind of tyrannical rule, whether it's right or left, but the recent fascist governments we have seen in the western world have all been right wing. They have their roots in far, radical right social policy (i.e. exterminating Jews), they have hawkish foreign policies (invading other nations), and highly regimental detention of citizens.

If the Fascists of WWII were leftist, why were they exterminating Communists? Answer me that.

If you read his blogs, Breivik clearly talks about the leftist agenda that is happening in Europe and his extreme distaste for both it and his government's complicity with it. What you think the American standard of left and right are has zero relevance to this. Realpolitik is not based on where America is at, but on objective facts. Norway is a left-leaning government that endorses neo-liberal, globalist policy.

I think you need to read the facts, especially Breivik's blog, before you continue to try discussing this. Your apologism is very obvious and one sided. I'm not attacking the right wing here, just pointing out what is objectively going on.
