Exclusive: Special counsel trades immunity for fake elector testimony as Jan 6 probe heats up

I hate to see any of these scum bags who thought it was OK to be a fake elector go free, but if they can directly link and nail the likes of Rudy, Powell, Jordan, Graham, LET UM WALK! Can't wait to see this...

How on earth can it not be illegal?? The only reason I can come up with for why they haven't already been charged with attempted obstruction of justice is in the hopes they will save themselves and flip on who ever put them up to this. Fingers crossed!
 
I'd like to note that it's not just 'trades immunity', but rather, that people are entitled to not testify under the fifth amendment, and immunity is a way to force them to have to testify, removing the fifth amendment from the issue. It's not necessarily like he just says 'would you like to testify if I give you immunity?' IIUC it's more like 'I've ordered immunity. Now talk under oath or go to jail.'

And likely every lead elector in the 6 or 7 states that participated. If not all of them being charged with perjury. Every single one of them signed a fake document and submitted it to congress as certified.

I think they could all be charged with 'Conspiracy to commit fraud against the United States'.

I think they are offered the option of limited immunity or standing trial. What they did, I assume is a crime. Knowing that they didn’t actually get selected. Smith is going for conspiracy as 5 separate states came up with the same scam at the same time. Or do sock minds think alike?

Yes, it's very good. LIMITED IMMUNITY; they definitely committed a crime and they deserve accountability. NO jail time for the truth, but LOTS of probation time and a full blown criminal record to go along with it.

Meanwhile, in related news,



Jack Smith is clearing the table to try for a 2023 trial date. He's prodding the Trump team to get their security clearances, saying it can be processed "within 48 hours of submission of the relevant forms."

From what I'm reading, this filing shows Smith is ready to move quickly (by federal court standards.)
 
I wonder why the delay.
