Exclusive: DHS secretary seeks military arrests in Los Angeles in leaked letter

Good.

Get as violent as they need to in order to quell it before it grows like the other LA Riots did.

Smash it hard and quickly.
The Dodgers are coming home for a series Friday. Do you think they'll have to cancel the game? As bad as things are. With the city burned down and all.

Like I said, pathetic.

Would you think that if “protesters” were throwing Molotov cocktails and rocks at you? You’d just be collateral damage while they exercised their “rights”? I don’t think so.

Can we just cancel California? Put it out of its misery? Maybe we should change the name back to Alta California and just give it back to Mexico, assuming they’d take it. It’s pretty much Mexico anyway. 🤷‍♂️

The kidnapping of perfectly decent people by the state is violence.

You care more about a burning car than the rights of people.
Deporting people who are in this country illegally is not kidnapping. No matter how much that hurts your feelings.

People have the right to peaceably assemble. When the rocks start, it’s no longer a peaceful assembly. Cops need to ensure order and prevent people from getting hurt. It’s hard to do that when anarchists or other troublemakers are infiltrating protests and using them as cover in order to attack law enforcement officers or destroy property.
You seem to be incapable of the concept of one versus the crowd. You should apply to work for Trump

I would want anyone throwing Molotov cocktails and rocks arrested, but why should that cause anyone peacefully protesting to lose their rights?

You want to ban protests, there is no way around that if you support shutting them down after the first rock gets thrown. The first counter protestor, be it antifa or proud boys, pro-life or pro-choice, gun rights or gun restrictions, big oil vs greens, wall street vs main street, etc., simply has to hurl a rock and in your opinion that should end the protest.

Anyone paying attention could see it coming, but it is still shocking to see how many are willfully, even gleefully, dropping to their knees for this shit.

It's weak, and pathetic.

So one guy throwing rocks or Molotov cocktails at police officers is acceptable to you as long as he’s hiding in a crowd? Not me. If they want to protest, then they need to police themselves. But they won’t, because the reason they’re protesting in the first place is due to law enforcement officers seeking to uphold law and order by arresting people. And I don’t think any police officer should have to risk injury to himself or others by entering one of these mobs.

Yes, but in recent decades Democrats have been dieting on stupid pills and standing by while violent criminals and anarchists looted and burned our cities. Trump was elected partly as a response to that.

So then, you are okay with Donald Trump violatring the Posse Comitatus Act?

You are also okay with ignoring Due Process and Habeus Corpus? Is supporting Donald Trump really worth pissing all over the Constitution?

Make up your mind now, because that is what TACO will demand during the next 3½ years.

America is so ****ed.

You can see, Trumpists in this thread are salivating at the idea of using the military against blue cities…

Oh man you’re so ****ed.

Of course you would. What you don’t say is how you would do that without endangering lives. Would a mob of angry protesters detain him for the authorities? Of course not. The whole point of their “protest” is based on an objection to arresting people. Won’t happen. So you would expect the police to wade into the lion’s den and hope they don’t shoot anyone. You have no clue as to why the authorities would declare a curfew or an “unlawful assembly”

Those protesters setting fires and otherwise endangering safety are being arrested by the LAPD, as they should be.

Isn’t that enough?
I could be.

Really depends on the size and scope.

If the LAPD has to sit on the rioters, then what they aren't doing is all the other police work.

Assuming he did, no, I’m not “okay” with that. I’m not okay with a lot of things Trump does. Empowering federal law enforcement agents and officers to actively seek and deport criminal aliens isn’t one of them.

You are also okay with ignoring Due Process and Habeus Corpus? Is supporting Donald Trump really worth pissing all over the Constitution?

No. Is that what the FBI and ICE were doing in Los Angeles? If so, they should kick these people out properly. But somehow I don’t think that would matter to them and their fan club.

Make up your mind now, because that is what TACO will demand during the next 3½ years.

No, he should follow the law. He should also enforce it, which is something Democrats have repeatedly failed to do. That’s one reason, perhaps a central one, why we have President Trump today instead of President Harris. Democrats like digging their own graves.

Your response is so illiterate and empty I won't respond as it won't fly over your head like my previous post.

You won’t respond because you know you can’t without looking like a moron. You have no clue what constitutes an “unlawful assembly” or why we have curfews “denying people their rights.”

You can't read and you call me a moron?!:ROFLMAO::LOL::love:🤣😂😁

I can read. Direct me to the part where you outlined how people would be prevented from throwing rocks and firebombs, short of declaring a protest an “unlawful assembly,” without endangering other people? Are you capable of doing that?

If you could read your posts would not prove you can't.

LA is the second largest city in the U.S. and there are any number of events that require special police presence — sporting events, political campaigns, parades, concerts, fires, etc. The unexpected is expected.

Every so often there’s an article on LAPD overtime pay and the number of hours are astonishing.

They could likely get away from the overtime if they simply hired more personnel.

But in the day and age of 'defund the police', how do you think that plays?

I hate to say this but the 2nd Amendment exists for a reason, and we may be fast approaching a point in time where Americans need to rely on it for its original, intended purpose. It may become the only thing preventing Donald from disappearing any perceived enemies.
Pro tip: trains slow going up hill. And a shovel and a bottle jack is all that’s needed to derail one.

The first trains will be full of folks they fear the most.

The more you know…

( this is of course purely hypothetical. There won’t be any trains unless there’s a clampdown. And MAGA has promised there will never be one. So it’s just talk)

Gotta love seeing the left defend the violence.

Remember when that said it was okay to go protest for George Floyd during peak covid?
Which of yall were objective you would have celebrated because it turned out here were no infection clusters associated with those marches.

That meant it was ok to have gatherings in outdoor environments.
