It is true and she will get convicted. How do I know this? Because other fraudsters have been convicted or paid restitution to avoid a case, but for some reason she has pulled this out and out. The revelation in 2017 was against several EU politicians who had committed fraud. That started the investigations and yes they have taken a long time because of immunity and other rules.

Most other EU politicians who committed this type of fraud have paid back what they took....or their party has.

Le Pen had her immunity removed a few months ago due to another situation and that has meant the EU now can formally charge her.

But between 2017 to now, Le Pen, like all the other fraudsters, have had plenty of time to admit what they did and pay back the money and avoid any EU legal issues... Le Pen has not done anything, unlike others.

This is not fascism, or even close to it. She broke the law and has to pay for it. You forget, this is only the EU part... the French part is yet to come. Many of these fraudsters have avoided EU charges by paying back the money, but many have not avoided domestic charges.

Kinda accurate. The guy who formed the now People's Party in Denmark was a genius lawyer that was anti tax ....which the people's party started out as. However he was later thrown in jail for.....tax evasion. He famously sent his tax papers in on toilet paper because at the time there was no stipulation on what paper or size the tax returns should be sent in on. Now days there is of course, mostly because of his actions.

Oh and the current leader of the party got involved in something similar as Le Pen, and the party paid the EU back. But he could not avoid Danish law as he did the crime in Denmark. Lucky for him, the first trial result was thrown out because the Judge posted stuff on Facebook about it... But the chances he will avoid the same fate of prison at his second trial is slim.
