Eric Adams will save NYC from that communist!

I don't know much about Silwa. Is he a NYC moderate Republican, or a crazy MAGA hat? If the former, maybe he could be persuaded to drop out too.
I guess you can call him a "moderate Republican" in that he's not a MAGAcolyte. He's more focused on quality of life issues that broader politics.

Cuomo should be the one to back out and he should do it now. Adams is the current mayor and Sliwa is a republican. There is no reason for them to get out.
Yep. I'm not sure why Cuomo is insisting given his bad campaigning the last go around that saw him lose the primary. Adams is about as popular as wet cardboard, so we'll see how that goes. Sliwa has a better chance of winning the lottery.

New Yorkers have a habit of electing corrupt losers, over and over again.

Must be something they admire in them.

Hopefully the cycle is broken this time.
In the past, New Yorkers would elect corrupt Democratic mayors and then replace them with Republican reformers. This happened with the elections of John Mitchel, Fiorella LaGuardia, John Lindsay, and Rudy Giuliani. They will do so again, but that may not be for a while. My guess is being a Republican politician is not an asset in the Big Apple right now.

Just to clarify - Fiorello La Guardia was a socialist. He was much more ideologically aligned with Mamdani than with Giuliani.

LaGuardia was NOT a Socialist. He was a Progressive Republican. On economic issues, he was to the Left of Giuliani and Bloomberg and probably to the Left of even some of today’s Democrats in NY.

🤣

No, he was definitely a socialist. He literally served in Congress as a member of the Socialist Party.

Or not.

I guess Trump will have to send in the military soon.

Mamdani and his staff may create more problems than they can solve. Seems in an attempt to keep from answering questions about his proposals his staff decided to suddenly end the session, have the band crank up load music and shuffle Mamdani away. Always a problem when the candidate can't or will not answer questions. This guy is trouble and NYC needs to look long and hard before putting him in the Mayor's office. Disaster looms.

Mamdani has been more open to questions than any other candidate, by a huge margin.

He's not hiding. You can ask him a question on Twitter, and he'll probably answer it.

Looks like Mamdani and his minions are following the Biden playbook.
