There are only 2 answers. either yes that anyone who says the are a Christian is one no matter the blatant disregard for the Bible or no that such an obvious breech of God's law means they can not be considered a Christian no matter what they claim.
Yall seem to have created a third option. Where either you are not a Christian and have to basis to really discuss the issue or you are a Christian and have so little conviction in your faith you cant even admit that is an act that could be universally be considered murder by all Christians.
The Bible was written by men, influenced by their current culture & superstitions and without being able to take into account many things we know today. It's obvious even today men are freaked out by homosexuality. Easy enough to stuff those prejudices into the Bible and claim it as God's Word.
I go by the overall message of God and Jesus: peace, love, forgiveness, and treating your fellow man as you would yourself.

I should have let the comment slide. One of the great things about the U.S. is we all get to practice our religion according to our own beliefs and consciences. I really have no interest in debating whose interpretation of the 100s of religions and 1,000s of sects is the correct one. The Episcopalians are one of those thousands. Good for them in my view. Others who have different views have many others to choose from.
