I posted an article about it already in the thread.
Ok, now post the EPA's guidelines. I'm thinking there may be more opinion than news in the article you posted.
You post 'em.
IOW, you don't have a clue what the EPA's guidelines are?
All you know, is that the e-ville coal company was destroying the environment and they got what they deserved; a few people are out of work and can't feed their families, but that's small price to pay.

Shutting businesses down isn't regulation.
Common sense dictates that this is over-regulation.
I would love to see the part of the Constitution where it says, "...and shut businesses down, if need be".
Another bonehead move by The Messiah.
RealClearPolitics - Video - Pelosi: Unemployment Checks Serve As "Job Creator""It injects demand into the economy," Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said of unemployment checks.
"It creates jobs faster than almost any other initiative you can name."
Pelosi calls unemployment checks a "stimulus" that is a "double benefit" helping "those who lost their jobs" and at the same serves as a "job creator"
If they can get a permit.

And the folks that work at that mine are out of work. So, who got hurt here?
That's a problem that most Leftists have; ya'll can't see the big picture.
If businessess aren't compliant to regulations, being shut down is the consequence.
That's simply absurd. Common sense dictates that failing to comply to regulations will lead to being shut down.
The fact that the business is shut down doesn't indicatre overregulation, though.
For example, a restaurant that refuses to comply with regulations regarding not serving human feces in their food will be shut down.
This is not really overregulation. It's merely a consequence for a choice made by the business owner.
Looking at the consequences of an action, and determining that there is overregulation involved because doesn't like th eresults of those consequences, is precicely the opposite of common sense.
Passing laws requires consequences for falurew to comply to those laws.
It's simple common sense that failing to comply to these laws will have consequences.
We can see the big picture, it is you that can't. Causing irrepairable damage to the envirionment to save a few dollars is the company's choice. Like I said before that coal isn't going anywhere. Eventually it will be extracted safely with minimal envirionmental damage as long as the EPA remains vigilant.
Right wingnuts breathe the same air and drink the same weater as liberals.
Don't hold your breath. The coal won't be mined. Instead the country will import oil from foreign dictators. That's what environmentalists want.
Yes, because of the studies and the research they have done. I just thank God that all republicans aren't like you or we would be as polutted as China where there isn't an EPA.How do you know this is causing irrepairable damage to the environment? Because the EPA says so?

This mentality will become increasingly rare as Americans experience a decline in their living standards.
Then you people would complain about him spending money. The "Messiah"(just call the man by his damn name) can cure aids, and people would still complain.
The EPA is shutting the mine down, because of what they think might happen.

If the regulations are too stringent, then it becomes over-regulation.
That's their goal, to make it incredibly tough to make a profit, and when that happens... who the hell will continue with the business.
The eco-freaks have gone way to far... and of course this helps us with energy independence. Drill in hard to get areas... close down drilling in those areas, shut down the coal industry.
Idiocy. Pure unadulterated idiocy.

Did you know that Cap and Trade was invented by conservative republicans?
And if Reagan hadn't scrapped Carters energy policies we would be energy independent right now.
If Reagan hadn't scrapped the syn-fuel idiocy, we would be riding horses, right now.
