Entire US Telecom Infrastructure Breached by Chinese

If you haven't noticed China has a philosophy of thinking big. The bigger the better. Everything they do is big on scale and scope. Clearly they would try to take over the world if they could.
China has been around since around 2000 BCE. China has attempted to "take over the world" ___ times in that period. China has established ________ non-contiguous colonies in that period.

Of course you are, because you support America's enemies.
Which of
  • ___ a country governed by a democratically elected government which places the good of its own people ahead of the profits of American owned corporations
or
  • ___ a country governed by a corrupt and brutal dictatorship which places the good of its own dishonest leadership right up there with the profits of American owned corporations regardless of the effect that has on its own people
qualifies as one of "America's enemies"?

Please check the history of which have historically received the most support from the governments of the United States of America before answering.

Each and every Chinese dynasty has failed, which is why the rest of the world is still intact.

Big is a word but grandiose is the exact word. Always big ambitions that puts the Chinese ahead of their skis.

The CCP-PRC dynasty is Chinese through and true as it's failing already. As all Chinese dynasties have bitten the dust, this one is on their exact course of failure. Indeed, all the US and the West need to do is to leave the Chinese to themselves. Just contain 'em until, as with the USSR, the Chinese too collapse of their own dead weight.

Pretty much Russia, US and China already have that ability. That's why our own NSA is against strong encryption under the charter of fighting terrorism. The Chinese already know so much about US citizens when they take over the world they will know excatly who to execute and who to throw in jail.
It sounds like the CCP are paying Blofeld a lot of money for his expert advice. I suspect Blofeld is your guy too.

Can't right now... don't mean can't later on.
Historically and also with the CCP dynasty itself the Chinese play the long game because they have nothing in the present. They have nothing in the long term either given every Chinese dynasty has failed.

Al the Chinese have ever had is a new dynasty soon to fail just as all dynasties before 'em are failures.

It's why the Chinese save so much of their income. It's more than saving for a rainy day, it's saving for the long and miserable monsoon.

The concept of "privacy" no longer exists.

And I don't think it will again.

Technology is WAY too prevalent and smart.
And way past anybodies ability to control it, especially idiot senators and congressmen.

Mainly due to the unforgiving belief by software engineers in their own shit. Whenever I visited my customers in wireless data and telecom that had both hardware engineers and software engineers, the hardware engineers were always nose to the grindstone level headed technologists. The software engineers were almost always google eyed missionaries for moving forward, always forward ASAP including as much as claiming "who needs security".

This is not like NSA under Bush43 switching a few cables around and adding a few jumper's such that the government was in the loop on all calls and all email transactions. What we have now is access without having to do a damned thing other than have clever hackers. Access is embedded in these systems. I saw the first of these just as I was retiring. God only knows how deep embedded into these systems and networks access is now.

I know what you mean, and it is certainly true that privacy is much harder to protect than in the past.

But I think it's a bad idea to declare that privacy no longer exists.

First, because it's not really true. It's entirely possible to conduct private business without having it on the Internet. It just requires a bit more thought than it used to. E.g., turning off our phones at appropriate times.

Second (and more important), if we accept the idea the privacy no longer exists, we have given up on the idea of an expectation of privacy, which is central to the concept.

If we all accept that privacy no longer exists, what basis do we have to object when government or others invade areas where there still is an expectation of privacy? OK, I accept that I have no expectation of privacy when I'm walking around in public, and I have no problem with that. On the other hand, when I am in my own home I expect that what I do and say is private (unless I'm stupid enough to put it on line). Yes, there is technology to bug my house and observe me in my home, but it is illegal to do so, and I would like to keep it that way.

Why are you shocked?

The Chinese can't do anything against me. Can't say the same about my own government, though.

Opinion: Americans, your calls and texts can be monitored by Chinese spies

"The Salt Typhoon"

I am willing to bet money it's not JUST the Chinese.
No one should make the mistake of believing the Russians aren't right there alongside them.

The Washington Post. Jeff Bezos.

Scare tactic ahead of the election..,.....little Bezsos is scared Trump will lose and blame him.

Seriously, NOTHING American is believable anymore. Nothing. And certainly NOT Jeff "don't rock the boat' Bezos

China's Belt Road initiative and Huawei 5g telecommunications have allowed Beijing to burrow down deeply into most nations.

And even if Apple wanted to, they could only cut 19% of iPhone production from China during the next 5 years.

Biden is right-on with his efforts to bring chipmaking and thus AI prominance back to the US.

You are too naive and incapable to have a rational conversation

No They won't

They don't want to rule over Americans or Europeans.

They have enough trouble ruling over Chinese.

Ruling over people is what ethnic Europeans do

The US government started doing this prior to 9/11. The problem with these government spying programs is that eventually everyone gets access.

Exactly

All the backdoor the NSA put into US telecommunications system and even European ones has bitten them back

I'm more worried about my own government monitoring my calls and texts than about the Chinese doing it.
I'm not doing anything they would be curious about.
