Elon Musk changed X's terms of service to send all legal disputes to a court in Texas. This is called judge shopping, and it isn't legal. The judge who runs that court is a Telsa investor. The judge in question needs to be disbarred, indicted, and tried.

Musk needs to be fined into poverty for this injustice.

I seem to remember that X moved from CA to TX more than a year ago.

Seems a no brainer that any court action would need to happen in TX now.

Folks got arrested for offering water to those in line to vote while Musk is offering literally millions of dollars in cash.

MAGA seems to want leaders who are criminals that operate above the law. This is hard to understand until you realize that MAGA is not driven primarily by tangible policy goals, but primarily by hating other Americans.

Changing the TOS is fine. Steering cases to a judge that is a Tesla investor is not.

It's a conflict of interest and it needs to cost the judge his job and his law license. It needs to cost Musk his balls.

He's judge shopping.

The judge he chose is a Tesla investor which means as a matter of ethics, that judge cannot hear cases involving ANYTHING Musk owns or has a business interest in.

Musk is attempting to fix cases filed against X so that they go to a court that is biased.

This behavior needs to cost Musk every last cent he has.

The judge who runs the court Musk chose is a Tesla investor. He is conflicted out. It's an attempt at judge shopping.

Judge-shopping is a practice where multiple lawsuits asserting the same claim are filed in the hopes of having one assigned to a favorable judge1. It is considered an abuse of the court system.

A conflict of interest refers to an interest that disqualifies a judge1. A judicial or arbitral decision consists of taking a side in such a conflict, allowing one interest to prevail over another in a reasoned way2. The Code of Conduct for United States Judges provides guidelines for conflicts of interest.

Here is the judicial code of conduct for Texas.


Canon 4: Conducting the Judge's Extra-Judicial Activities to Minimize the Risk of Conflict with Judicial Obligations A. Extra-Judicial Activities in General. A judge shall conduct all of the judge's extrajudicial activities so that they do not1) cast reasonable doubt on the judge's capacity to act impartially as a judge; or (2) interfere with the proper performance of judicial duties

For the judge, that is the law.

The judge is conflicted. He CANNOT hear cases involving Musk or any of his companies because he is an investor.

This is called a conflict of interest.

It's also banned in federal courts.
