Another baseless concern by our favorite (not really) smart guy, Elon.

Musk should move to Mars.

6 billon years!!!! Life on Earth will have been extinct long before that. As the Sun ages it will increase the radiant energy million of years before it's final hurrah. In about 900,000 years, the Earth will be so hot that all the water on the planet will evaporate creating a greenhouse effect that will even make Venus proud. Before the Sun swallows the Earth in 6 billon years, the temps on the planet will somewhere around 3500 degrees C, the Earth will return to being a molten mass.

And what CT dog pile did he get that "science" from?
Not CT, fact. The Sun, as it dies, will expand. The Earth along with Mercury and Venus will be consumed by the suns expansion before it contracts again.

When that happens, Mars is not really any safer. Now as the sun expands, the earth may get too warm and Mars may become suitable for terraforming and life, but Mars will not be far behind.

Agreed, the Goldie locks zone most likely will expand out to the moons of Jupiter and Saturn.

Nah...he's a super genius. Clearly there's something we're not understanding about the urgency of getting to Mars within 5 billion years!

... so we've got some time
