Elon Musk says Twitter has had ‘massive’ revenue drop as advertisers pause spending

Um, those who cancel and suspend conservatives are mainly liberals. This is not supposed to be in the Breaking News section. If Twitter employees donate about 90% to Democrats, do you think they are conservatives?

Attorneys love people like you on a jury
So, as predicted, you have nothing but baseless opinion. Thanks for playing.

What an I supposed to do to prove it to you? If you see a "thing' in a pond swimming with white feathers, dunking his head underwater and someone says "Look at that duck", do you say "Prove that is a duck"?

Why Amazon; is it a social media business?
A left-wing Trump-hating company but that is not the point. They are a huge company laying off thousands and I promise you the next few years will have much more of that. People are pulling in their horns and not buying things like they used to because their spendable income has gone down due to high gas costs which increase the costs of everything and Amazon depends on shipping and when diesel costs go up, what do you think happens? The housing market is now dead and new home building has cratered, costing more thousands of jobs. Existing homes are sitting on the market for months and months now when they used to be sold in a week.

What gives you the impression that Amazon is a "left wing" business?

Trump-hating?

What is this? If Amazon is a true Trump-hating company, why would they allow this?

Or this?

or this?

Shall I go on?

If the economy is that bad, then why is the fed raising interest rates? One of the saddest things about modern America is that consumer confidence etal only really measures if a Republican is in the Whitehouse. Republican views of the economy no longer track the actual economy.

Also Amazon has .5Trillion in revenue and 1.5 Million employees and they’re targeting ~10k job cuts. Twitter HAD 4 billion in revenue and 7.5k employees. Amazon is cutting half of one percent. Musk killed 75% and counting.

Fwiw I think Amazon is pretty evil. Unfortunately it’s also very competent and extremely convenient. There’s even a good chance this forum is run on Amazon.

Take a shitty deal, treat existing staff like shit, and let CTs fly on your platform? Who could have predicted an outcome like this! 😁
Existing staff were shit, and needed canning. The policy wonks needed firing and a guarded escort off the premises. Their failures and customer relations were egregious.

Musk is getting rid of those who think a job is supposed to be all about them and what they want. Free lunches, yoga rooms with sleeping mats, making over 100K a year because you can code? If you own a company your prime motive is to make a profit and not to babysit young workers. You make your company lean and mean in order to survive. Facebook is laying off many employees and I hear no complaints.

I see, so in your educated opinion that must therefore mean that the entirety of the many thousand employees are all 'left wing', because their boss supports the left? That's the reasoning of a simpleton.
Twitter! Stay on track.

Musk has "depressurized" the cabin on the Lear Jet and Twitter is now in Payne Stewart mode, a cabin full of occupants who are no longer of this Earth, plane on autopilot till it hits a glitch or runs out of fuel, and crashes.
Glitches like "optimizing servers", for example, not quite so easy with something the size of Twitter?
Not with three-fourths of your staff now MIA.
Copyright mod system out of whack, folks are now uploading entire feature films.

I deactivated my account and then went back to just look and holy shit...I kid you not, some pretty sick shit floating in that bowl.
Oh and, not a single ad...zero.
Ten bucks says kiddie porn is going to surface in the next 72 hours.
Elon has created a larger version of 8chan. I guess he could call it 10chanX or something.

FYI, 100k is what I'd expect for a mediocre entry level employee. Competitive wages are considerably higher. And be sure to throw in equity and 5 figure bonuses on top of that. And yes, "all" you need to be able to do is code. You don't even need a degree. Everything you need to start learning is available online. And then you can get great perks and very high wages too.

Yet it's almost impossible to hire good people. Working on complex systems is incredibly difficult and very few people are willing to work hard enough. For context https://github.com/torvalds/linux. This is what code looks like (And Linus is VERY clean and easy to read). NO ONE fires talent.

lol 100k isn't really that much nowadays especially in a large city. It's hilarious that he wants to attack people for making a middle class income. Average rent for a 1br apartment in SF is ~$3k and at $100k in California you're getting ~$5,400 a month in take home pay before health insurance so you're looking at rent being 56% of your take home pay and that's before the city tax.

Uh OH. Musk is hiring again after getting rid of the malcontents and entitled pampered pooches. Seems it was fake news to imply they would be going under.
