Are your retirement savings in any way tied to the stock market? If not, you are one of the few lucky ones. Most people are counting on 401k retirement plans tied to the stock market. Market downturns hurt all of these people, retired or planning retirement based on that.
 
The lunacy of Trumpenomics is incontrovertible. On the one hand in domestic economic policy you see a total, zealous embrace of supply side economics. On the international side you see a total, zealous embrace of government interventionism. The two are complete opposites and incompatible. Anyone embracing this schizophrenic set of policies cannot be taken seriously.

Work hard, and do your best. I lives paycheck to paycheck for many, many years. I sacrificed and did without. It paid off. It’s all good now. Don’t underestimate the benefit is of hard work and dedication.

Sounds like all is well in your world. And by the way, don’t tell me that I am not going to be able to do everything with my money I had planned to do. It’s all good. No need to panic. Pensions are very helpful.

We do have some money in the market. We never planned to totally count on Social Security, our 401K or our pension totally. A good balance has helped. I don’t believe the market will be down for a long period. And no need to dip into it at this point. Pension will suffice.

If a person can only be a "special government employee" for 130 days, does that mean
  1. 130 days in their lifetime
  2. 130 days per year or
  3. 130 days continuously?

What is the situation if they become a "special government employee" in a differently named position?

What would happen if Mr Trump commissioned Mr Musk a 2LT in the Army Reserve and then recalled him to active duty with duties identical to those of the head of DOGE?
 
Can't be soon enough! Maniacal Chainsaw asshole can go back to Texas and watch his Tesla brand continue to get massacred.
 
Musk lost 30.9 billion on April 3 & 4 and 110 billion YTD. This goes to show the enormity of the wealthy -poor gap.
