Elizabeth Warren, Once a Front-Runner, Will Drop Out of Presidential Race

Out of curiosity, how does this play out if Warren dropped out because she’ll be Bernie’s VP pick?

Ooh, that's juicy. Warren would make sense for a Sanders VP, but he has a steep hill to climb.

Oh yeah paying a decent wage along with worker rights, that is all kinds of crazy

Bloomberg has kept his staff to campaign for biden, starting at six grand a month...

That would decimate the Trump Acolytes- Heads exploding across the nation

Yes indeed they would fall out in spasmic attacks and I would love every minute of it...and you damn right I would get up in line first thing in the morning to vote yes on that ticket.

bernie and Lieyawatha would guarantee almost every big money Dem donor would sit the election out

From what I understand Offices in all States and approx 2400 workers
Add in his data analytics, money for adds, events and such.
Biden will have lots of support from Mike's superpac

Her claim to Native heritage is microscopic compared to the luggage Trump came in with.

After Trump walked into the WH it brought the bar down so low that if Hugh Hefner was still alive he would have a shot at the WH.

Hell Larry flynt would be moral upgrade...

I heard she might prefer to endorse Bernie Sanders.

But she has serious reservations....

I'll be fine with Warren or Klobuchar or Booker, but if it's Buttigieg, I will actually work for the campaign.

He is my choice tied with Abrams, however I think Pete would be a great ambassador to the UN.

He been to war, and speaks how many languages???

Elizabeth Warren, Once a Front-Runner, Will Drop Out of Presidential Race - The New York Times

Senator*Elizabeth Warrenof Massachusetts plans to drop out of the presidential race on Thursday and will inform her staff of her plans later this morning, according to a person close to her, ending a run defined by an avalanche of policy plans that aimed to pull the Democratic Party to the left and appealed to enough voters to make her briefly a front-runner last fall, but that proved unable to translate excitement from elite progressives into backing from the party’s more working-class and diverse base.

Well, that's that. I'm not gonna lie. Biden wasn't in my top three. I am encouraged, however, to see the Democratic party learn the lesson that the Clinton disaster showed them. Biden can beat Trump. Now comes the hard work.

... what have they learned from the "Clinton disaster"? This is The Clinton Disaster 2: The Bidening

I find it amusing that still going as of Monday were threads where people insisted that Sanders was ahead by 30 delegates (with 1900 more needed), and the race was over. There was no way that Biden or anyone else could catch up. I probably responded to half a dozen people saying that it was WAY too early to call it, that Sanders was a very flawed candidate and support would go elsewhere, and we would have a much better idea after Tuesday.

Amazing how the tide has changed.

people jump to conclusions ever friggin election.

now, predictions are different than conclusions.

Yip he is going to have far more influence In this election than Putin had in the last one.

The right is going to regret citizens united...

From the beginning, my first choice to beat Trump was Biden, so I'm glad he still going strong. Second choices were Klobuchar and Buttigieg, but didn't think they could beat Trump as well. Hopefully the Democratic party will come together this time and vote Democratic to stop Commander Bone Spurs from running the country into the sewer. As an Independent, my vote will go for the Democratic nominee.

I don't mind Biden, but he doesn't excite me at all. He's just. Meh. And stale. And samesies. Sanders would be transformational (he was my guy in 2016), but "socialist" is still a bad word for old people. I have a hard on for Buttigieg, so I hope he will end up being Biden's VP and will take over in 2028.

It did wonders for Bloomberg!

I am entertained by that notion!

Simply because it would be a great spectacle watching her devour Mike Pence and spit him out before he even had a chance to strike his vice presidential pose.

(You know the one, where he pretends to be serious when Trump is pulling something stupid).

It's the wise old fatherly look that makes me ill

Overdue; she should have been out with the rest of them after SC and before ST, but I imagine horses were traded such that she stuck around despite having obviously no chance; now that ST was a success for Biden in the wake of the centrist consolidation and the still split progressive vote and that she's flirting with obvious irrelevancy in the race, she figures she's free to go.

Apparently you're easily aroused.

My opinion- Female and African American - perhaps Abrams from Georgia

I doubt it. He already has that vote.

He’ll want someone to help him in the Southwest or in the states Trump skated by on. My guesses include Kloboshur, possibly Buttigieg (who would pull the young vote and much of the Bernie crowd), or someone like Bullock or Insley (either of whom would make great choices.

It won’t be Warren. She scares Wall Street.

Once Biden began to show a resurgence it was all but certain the rest would begin to fall to the wayside....the only remaining question is who he will pick for a running mate.

It's a good time to begin making some side-bets on the VP choice. I have a short list. 1. Amy Klobuchar 2. Michael Bennet 3. Kamala Harris
