In a manner of speaking - I guess there is some validity to that. He was an old gnarled up guy guy who smoked like a chimney - ready to retire and he read just about every word in two daily papers each day as well as always had on the news on the radio. He identified Nixon as a crook who was full of crap and loved to say so. We got along terrifically.

Why are you complaining? Trump will be officially elected on Monday, and whether or not a bunch of democrat electors received a briefing on possible hacking makes absolutely no difference at all. All the rest of your whining is too late for anything of substance that will change events about to occur. And I think Trump is causing you to wet yourself here, as post after post displays.
 
What would such a briefing entail, anyway?

If the leftists had their way it would be "The Russians. We hate Trump. We REALLY hate Trump. We are desperate and running out of tricks. We hope this will work. There isnt any direct eveidence proving anything but we can absolutely without question say that beyond a shadow of a doubt some of our operatives that are connected to Clinton and to the current administration can almost 100% guarantee that if they had evidence it would pretty sure probably look just like what the Russians might have done if they did it which we cant say with any certainty that they DID but we can say with ABSOLUTE certainty that if there was evidence of it then we are sure it would point to them. Doing it. We think. For sure. Honest!"

We KNOW what happened.

This was NOT some super secret hack by a team of high tech cyber-warriors. This was a phishing scam that John Podesta was stupid enough to fall for. This whole thing was the equivalent of me posting on this site in a private message to someone "hey...Dood. I just heard from the mods that your account was hacked and you need to change yours so if you tell me your password, I'll take care of that for you.Start with your old one, then send me the new one. Awesome...got it! I'll get on this right away and remember to use your new password in the future."

And intelligence officials not showing up for the congressional hearing on the matter was the icing on the cake. Why didn't they bother to show up?

Johnson was far more illegitimate than because tremendous majorities rejected him from day one because
*** The North had just won the Civil War days earlier and now a Southerner was President
*** Lincoln had won the election and had just been inaugurated weeks earlier and now a life long Democrat was President.

People looked at both as the worst sort of reversal of everything they had worked and sacrificed for. So Johnson was hated and viewed as illegitimate.

The election of 1876 produced the Corrupt Bargain which installed Hayes over Tilden as President. And it was controversial and people protested and Hayes started out on the wrong foot. And the culprit in all this was the manipulation and dealings in the Electoral College. But once in office, Hayes was able to move forward and never ever met the complete resistance that Andrew Johnson met from Congress and the press - which resulted in his being the first President to be impeached and tried. That did NOT happen to Hayes.

I imagine this is an area of reasonable dispute and if you want to view Hayes as the most illegitimate because of the EC, then you would have to include Bush in 2000 also. But he fails to rise (or is it sink) to that same level.

In my humble opinion - as a person who taught Government and US History for 33 years - the Bastard King of all time for the USA would be Andrew Johnson.

But I will not have to resort to insulting you if you have a different opinion. I can live with different opinions.

Only in your fevered mind. The election was not hacked. The DNC was hacked during the campaign, and virtually every revelation was true. You shill for a very badly wounded horse in the DNC. The rest of the nation has better sense.

And why did they not hack the RNC?

And who made the decision to use that material to gain and advantage for Trump in the closing weeks of the election?

Trump is clearly illegitimate.
1- He lost the popular vote by over 2.8 million votes clearly showing he does NOT have the support of the American people nd the American people prefer a different candidate.
2- the illegal interference by Comey in the last ten days of the election aided Trump and helped him to an EC victory.
3- the interference by Russia to aid Trump casts a ugly and damning stain upon Trump making the entire process deeply flawed and corrupted.

And it is for those reasons why Trump is illegitimate in the eyes of many Americans. He has no mandate. He has no will of the people behind him.

Actually - it very much matters if our fifty year global enemy did it and then used the information to help their hand picked candidate to win.

Glad to see you admit the same people hacked the RNC? So why did they not release that if the intent was to truly discredit the actual democratic voting process and not merely aid and abet one particular candidate? The answer to that tells you everything you need to know about the intent to help Trump.

I ave you the grounds for my judgment about Trump being illegitimate. Thus you cannot say it is groundless speculation as there are grounds aplenty.
