Early US intel assessment suggests strikes on Iran did not destroy nuclear sites, sources say

What CNN reported on that started this thread was disinformation that couched a portion of the Intel report as a primary conclusion.

There was a range of estimates along with their probability, and the "little impact" was a low probability, and was ruled out.

CNN, has now updated their story now that there was an official brief, that confirmed that the strikes took out Iran's centrifuges, and Israel as taken out Iran's Centrifuge manufacturing capabilities.

As I guessed in an earlier thread, the weak point in Fordow was the bore holes that were creased during construction and that Iran thought they had hidden. The US and Israel had long known the locations of these bore holes and targeted them. The GBU-57s targeted those ventilation shafts which allowed the blast to reach the facility.

Iran lost 20,000 centrifuges and the capability to manufacture any more centrifuges. They are left with ~400 kg of 60% enriched uranium.

This is interesting. Apparently the image that shows 3 holes in the ground aren't three missile impacts.

The big hole in the middle is the strike by a GBU-57 on the ventilator, and the two other wholes were created by blow back through auxiliary vents.

All bombs dropped went down the same hole.

Very good news indeed.

The left ran with the lie. And will now simply move on to the next one.

When do they not? It's still amazing to me how, even after all of the false stories that they have been fed, the Democrat followers still bite on ever bullshit story that CNN airs...

It's like they are operating on a form of gambler's "due factor" rationalization. This time it HAS to be true!

Blessings to you for posting the real story, and good for CNN for admitting they didn't have the whole story before they set out to excite the sickening camp that wants to see our President fail.

Lol.

And we’re back to square one. Sad but not entirely surprising. This is what happens when you’re in such a hurry to score points on social media that you don’t even take the time to assess the situation properly first.

Feeing very “Mission Accomplished”-esque.

What I love is that Trump shot his mouth off before he had the facts. AGAIN. Just like always.

on behalf of the Israel Atomic Energy Commission," contradicts early U.S. intel assessments that found Iran’s nuclear program was only set back a few months.

"The devastating U.S. strike on Fordo destroyed the site's critical infrastructure and rendered the enrichment facility inoperable. We assess that the American strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, combined with Israeli strikes on other elements of Iran's military nuclear program, has set back Iran's ability to develop nuclear weapons by many years," the IAEA said in a statement.

The left ran with the lie. And will now simply move on to the next one.

Do you like governments made up of yes men cause there is a very clear element of that in the Trump administration. Any dissent will be punished. Toe the line or you’re out. It will probably surprise you to know that’s not a liberal thing.

What evidence did Trump base his "Total Obliteration" comment on? Was that misinformation directed at Iran or the American public?

He made that declaration as soon as the jets left Iranian airspace. Seems premature doesn't it.

The story was bullshit reported by a "reporter" with a long history of reporting bullshit.

What's that old saying? "Fool me once..."

When you gonna learn?

The thread is a dumpster fire,, didn't age well at all, but you watch some pretend they "got him this time".

Hilarious but mostly just pathetic shit-posting.

Trump's and Hegseth's "Intelligence Assessment". Now there's an oxymoron if there ever was one. Emphasis on the "moron".

As CNN has now admitted, the only "misinformation" was that provided by anonymous leakers in the intelligence industry or Congress who cherry picked a low probability scenario to fool you and to discredit our amazing military.

Just maybe, the President knew something that you did not?

Here is a summary analysis from WSJ for those of you who are not behind the paywall.

After 12 days of military operations, a survey of the resulting damage is appropriate. . . . Overall, Israel’s and U.S. attacks have effectively destroyed Iran’s centrifuge enrichment program. It will be a long time before Iran comes anywhere near the capability it had before the attack.

This analysis is from the Institute for Science and International Security.

Israel’s historic Operation Rising Lion and the United States Operation Midnight Hammer have targeted many Iranian nuclear sites, causing massive damage to its nuclear program and setting it back significantly. After 12 days of military operations, a survey of the resulting damage is appropriate. The Institute has obtained high-resolution commercial satellite imagery of the principal nuclear sites, including the Natanz Nuclear Complex, Fordow site, the Esfahan (Isfahan) Nuclear Complex, Lavisan 2 (also known has the Mojdeh Site, the former location of the SPND HQ and other facilities), the new SPND HQ, TABA/TESA Karaj Centrifuge Manufacturing Site, the IR-40 Arak Heavy Water Reactor and Heavy Water (D20) Production Plant, and Sanjarian (a former AMAD site that had recently shown signs of reactivation). The imagery shows various levels of damage and/or destruction at each site. This analysis is enriched by reporting from the International Atomic Energy Agency and the IDF, and by information in the Institute’s archive on Iran.

TRIGGER WARNING!: No paywall here, but you may want to ignore it as it does not appear to comply with many of the talking points or agenda of those with TDS on DP. There are lots of pretty pictures for those of you that have trouble with reading and comprehension.

I'll save you the usual "attack the messenger" arguments:

The Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS) is a nonprofit, non-governmental institution to inform the public about "science and policy issues affecting international security". Founded in 1993, the group is led by founder and former United Nations IAEA nuclear inspector David Albright, and has been described as specializing "in analyzing the findings" of the IAEA. ISIS focuses primarily on nuclear weapons.

They've not said this.

Trump and Drunk admitted they didn't obliterate anything. It's why Lindsey Graham said it doesn't even matter if the nuclear material was there or not. Of course you folks have claimed victory, you keep re-defining what victory means. Next week you'll demand we be happy the pilots didn't trip and fall on their way to their bombers.

That is a guest opinion piece. The WSJ did not write that.

This is maga. Once an event starts receding from the headlines, the disinformation begins and they phrase it as though its just universally accepted.
The CNN story WAS the disinformation.

Do you even grasp how stupid what you just posted is?
