Durham's Investigation Is Falling Apart

So much for Trumps October surprise. Me thinks he's finished.

Oh, don't say that. Trumps a parasitic worm that has a life time of exploiting everyone around him. Until the numbers come in on Nov. 3rd, he's not finished and even then, he's going to, at least, attempt to discredit the election if he isn't reelected. This won't be over until Jan. 21st 21 when Joe Biden is sworn in or, if Trump is, it will just be the beginning of the end ... of America.

If Trump is reelected this will be OUR LAST Presidential Election.

He pushes it because Trumpublicans and QAnons eat that **** up. It's not about truth. They have proven long ago that they are not interested in the truth. Trumpublicans and QAnon need to hear it to continue their love for all things Trump.

Says the guy who fell for three years of the Collusion Hoax. :lamo

Article 1. Donald J. Trump, in violation of his oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, and to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, has obstructed the administration of justice:

1. He attempted to fire Mueller. The Mueller report found “substantial evidence . . . that the President’s attempts to remove the Special Counsel were linked to the Special Counsel’s oversight of investigations that involved the President’s conduct.”

2. Trump attempted to curtail Mueller’s investigation. Mueller found “that the President’s effort to have [Attorney General Jeff] Sessions limit the scope of the Special Counsel’s investigation to future election interference was intended to prevent further investigative scrutiny of the President’s and his campaign’s conduct.”

3. He ordered White House counsel Donald McGahn to falsify the record to conceal his attempts to fire Mueller. Mueller found that Trump “acted . . . in order to deflect or prevent further scrutiny of the President’s conduct.”

4. He fired FBI Director James B. Comey, Mueller found, because of “Comey’s unwillingness to publicly state that the President was not personally under investigation.”

Moreover, Mueller wrote, by firing Comey “the President wanted to protect himself from an investigation into his campaign,” because he knew “that a thorough FBI investigation would uncover facts about the campaign and the President personally that the President could have understood to be crimes or that would give rise to personal and political concerns.” Trump showed awareness of guilt by advancing “a pretextual reason to the press and the public for Comey’s termination.”

5. He tried to dissuade Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, Michael Cohen, Roger Stone, and other witnesses from cooperating with the government. The non-cooperation of Manafort and Stone, in particular, made it impossible to establish the exact nature of the relationship between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

Article II. Donald J. Trump, in violation of his oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, and to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, failed to defend America from foreign election interference. As a candidate, he welcomed Russian intervention in the 2016 election and refused to notify the proper authorities of contacts between his campaign and representatives of Russia and WikiLeaks.

As president, he denied that the Russian attack had even occurred, accepted Russian President Vladimir Putin’s false denials of responsibility, and showed no interest in determining the full scale of the attack. He repeatedly called the Russia investigation a “hoax” and a “witch hunt” even though Mueller determined “that there were multiple, systematic efforts to interfere in our election” and that “the matters we investigated were of paramount importance.”

Article III. Donald J. Trump, in violation of his oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, and to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, attempted to investigate and prosecute his political opponents. On three occasions, Mueller found, Trump asked the Justice Department to initiate investigations of Hillary Clinton. More recently, Trump and his attorney, Rudolph W. Giuliani, attempted to initiate an investigation of Joe Biden.

Article IV. Donald J. Trump, in violation of his oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, and to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, failed to produce papers and testimony as duly directed by Congress. Trump obstructed at least 20 inquiries relating to his taxes, business records, the Mueller investigation and other matters.

Article V. Donald J. Trump, in violation of federal campaign finance laws, conspired with his attorney Michael Cohen in order to conceal alleged relationships with adult film actress Stormy Daniels and Playboy playmate Karen McDougal before the 2016 election.

Article VI. Donald J. Trump, in violation of his oath to uphold Article 1, section 9 of the Constitution (“No money shall be drawn from the treasury, but in consequence of appropriations made by law”), attempted to misuse his emergency powers to spend funds on a border wall that Congress did not appropriate.

Article VII. Donald J. Trump, in violation of his oath to uphold the emoluments clauses (which forbid the president from accepting benefits from foreign and state governments without the permission of Congress) retains ownership of a global business empire which allows him to benefit from dealings with foreign and state governments.

ALEC GOP has committed more criminal and unconstitutional conduct under Trump than any previous president in U.S. history. The entire GOP and Trump administration must resign.

Not a *single* person will be convicted for “spying” on Trump’s campaign.

Not a one.

Nobody was ever convicted for their role in conspiring with Russia.
Not a one.
Hasn't stopped all the mumbling about a Trump/Russia conspiracy in 2016.

But thats the standard:
Democrats are innocent until convicted.
Republicans are guilty until proven innocent.

Not one single person was convicted of colluding with Russia. Not a one.

Where are the Russian agents? Nowhere to be found it seems. Dem's drove that fake news investigation.

How was it fake?

So you’re saying because of the lack of convictions, it’s just wrong to keep attributing criminality?

I suspect that someone who has been working at the DOJ for most of her carrier does not want her name on the half truths that will make up the Durham report. This is Durham's big payday, maybe a spot on SCOTUS for him if Trump wins.

I suspect that someone working at the DOJ for most of her life might want to do something a little different.

I realize it's a shocking reality, but there is always political pressure on prosecutors. It just comes in varying degrees depending on the visibility of the case. If, for example, you think Weissmann wasn't under some political pressure to produce indictments, you're living in My Little Pony land.

Durham must be close to releasing something, and the usual folks are trying to get ahead of it with "nothingburger", "huge fail", and the like.

I expect that Durham's aide doesn't want her name on something forthcoming because her chance at a prime job at a prestigious democrat firm will be in the crapper if she's associated with what's next.

It's a Sally Yates redux.

More than likely she doesn't want her name on a political hit job prosecution that will fail. Perhaps she's a real prosecutor that believes in the truth.

I don't know the woman, and neither do you.

My assessment is based on recent history. Yours is based on wishful thinking.

I can't say that elements of principle aren't involved, but I can say with near certainty that this prosecutor has no intention of following her principles to a nunnery. She has plans in the private sector. That's where the money is.

Or maybe she resigned because the AG, who has signaled every indication that he is corrupt, is pushing through a useless report just to try to damage Trump’s political opponent.

You guys try so hard to defend this stuff and all Trump and his team does is make it so obvious and loud that you just wind up making the schmuckiest arguments.

You call that an argument?

A prosecutor has resigned, and all you have to fuel your attacks is anonymous statements made by people purported to know the prosecutor in question. There's as much meat on that whole schtick as on a chicken's foot.

You know what I think is the best part? The part that makes me laugh and laugh? Durham, BArr - they could have Biden dead to rigths. Like solid cold, every Trumpkin Q fever dream realized with evidence. And it won’t matter. Trump and his AG have so tattered anyone’s desire to believe anything from him, it would fall on deaf ears.

That’s the price you pay for running nothing but disinfo ops on your own country for 4 years.

Yep. this is just something Trump wants so he can ramble on about it at his rallies Super Spreader events.

Heh. I wish I had a nickle for every anonymously sourced screed the political left has pushed since Trump assumed office.

Oh please. You sources-knowers spent last week insisting we can’t possibly believe a rich selfish dip**** said bad words about the military but this week when *he* is the verified source on a recording ya’ll still don’t give a ****.

TDS is ****in’ real.

Then why isn't he? All we have is you guys telling each other how bad obama was, nothing else. Why is it that nobody all you folks on the right have already convicted not been convicted of anything in a court of law? Why?

Because the people who could enforce the law and see that justice is served, have no balls. It's a daunting task to go up against the entrenched good old boys clubs of wealth, power and privilege. It's the reason the establishment hates Trump so much. He actually realizes that they are the problem.

Veritas that is a really piss poor answer. Who is the establishment if not trump? He has his man barr in the doj and a senate controlled by the gop, what's the problem? The federal government v whoever and you're telling me it can't happen because of the cost?

Trump told us all, only he can fix things because he is a part of the system, an east coast elitist. Denial won't win the next election.

Biden made a similar statement regarding panic. That's been lost intentionally in your haste to instill panic and spread chaos. Don't pretend there are moral boundaries to your lust for political power. Clearly there aren't.

Today Durham's top aid resigned citing pressure from Bill Barr. I always had a feeling this would go nowhere, but now with the senate report proving the FBI had every reason to open an investigation in 2016, we have the resignation of a senior level prosecutor working with Durham.

We'll see how Barr spins and lies about this development. Remember after a year of investigating, Barr got one low level guy altering an email. Actually Barr did not even get him. The IG report turned that up.

All that these BS investigations prove is that our government is totally corrupt. Pond dwellers protecting pond dwellers. These low life career politicians can't, in good conscience prosecute the lawbreakers because they are also guilty of the same corrupt activity. You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours, that way it will be business as usual.

We don’t even *have* to argue it anymore. Trump told us in his own words.

The establishment is the people who are a permanent part of the woodwork in DC. They are the people who have run things for decades and populate every agency and bureau. They are the career bureaucrats and paper shufflers. They are the barnacles returned endlessly to Congress. Trump was from completely outside that world and that is why he won. He can't wave his pen and serve justice on Comey and the rest of the gang. The wheels of justice turn slowly when they turn at all.

At least in Barr's case a toady actually looks like a toad.

Justice on comey? Comey helped save trump by coming out a week before the election saying we're investigating hillary again and then it was oops, never mind. What mueller didn't tell america, trump too was under investigation for his and those around him russian dealings. Justice on comey. Sad.

Right, because panic helps. Y'all still have states locked down, and your House refuses to provide basic assistance to those unfortunate enough to live in those places.

The more distress, panic and chaos you can spread, the better your chances of installing an addled old man in office - that's your political calculation. Truthfully, you don't give a crap about the people living in those states, as Pelosi recently demonstrated.

Yeah, we can’t have panic, people might die.
