Durham testimony today and tomorrow

I wonder if they'll talk about the Republican speaker of the house down in North Carolina who was using his political rival's wife for gangbangs to sell political favor.
Never happened. Sharing wives is kommanyst and therefore against Republican values.

"Durham is first set to testify behind closed doors in the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence on Tuesday afternoon.

On Wednesday morning, Durham will sit before the House Judiciary Committee for his first public statements and questioning."

When the Durham report was released in May and talk of him potentially testifying/taking questions was introduced, I was hopeful he would. Today and tomorrow, he will. Tomorrow is the "public" part.

I wish I could feel sorry for Republicans but this is their own **** up, so they need to wallow in it.

Hmmm, a negative reaction to Durham's rather strongly worded testimony today - from the left. I would never have expected that;)

I am very glad to hear this strong testimony and at such an important time in regard to the lack of confidence Americans are feeling in equal and fair justice and in the ethics of the FBI. The first video in comment 30 is great. He wanted his chosen questions answered with a yes or no only and certainly opposed elaboration (he didn't want to be heard) on answers. Then he so nicely thanked the FBI at the end. It was cute.

"Strongly worded".....you must be watching from earth2

"it would seem so" and "not to my knowledge" to questions that are squarely within the four corners of his investigation as mandated by Barr. Very strongly worded....NOT

The GOP side of the panel calls the material in his report "sobering" and Durham agrees. Sobering.......WOW....blockbuster

Mostly the D side of the panel has made better use of Durham than the R side has. So I am quite happy to see this go on and on and on and on

At this rate, not only will Jordan continue to keep testimony taken by GOP staff from the Minority staff, but will somehow find a way to hold hearings without a Minority panel present.

Durham was seriously unaware that Trump used emails stolen from Clinton by Russia in his campaign.

This is priceless, Rep Nehls one of the squirrels at the bottom of the GOP panel asks Durham a question and then immediately says "don't bother I will answer" MY OWN QUESTION.

Hey everyone. Here's a portion of Durham's testimony showing what a duplicitous partisan hack he is (and yet he still failed to find what he was so desperately looking for). Watch the full video (5 minutes), and read the five-tweet Twitter thread.

If you dare. (Try to follow the logic--don't just get mad at Schiff for asking embarrassing questions of Durham).

Are you watching the same hearing? Not the one on cartoon network…

Not sure what Durham is going to testify to.
His long awaited report was a dud, it did nothing to exorerate Trump, and other than a few FBI mis-steps that were already corrected by the FBI long before Durham came along, it did nothing to fulfill the Republican hype.

I watched some of those videos and they were brutal. Turns out that Durham is an incompetent goober. Who would have thought?

You know how in gun control debates the gun rights side is so anchored into their position that they won't even concede that there's a correlation between the number of guns and gun deaths? That's what it was like listening to Durham. He ceded the fact that Russians hacked Clinton's emails. He ceded that they released the emails into the public. But when asked if this was helpful to Trump...the most "no shit Sherlock" thing a person can admit to...that's when Durham started to get really uncomfortable.

Then when asked if he knew that Trump made use of those emails on the campaign trail over a hundred times, Durham said...and I couldn't make this up if I tried..."I don't read the newspapers."

Strong testimony? He lied half the time and acted like he didn't have a clue about the very stuff he was charged with investigation.

The hearing was a total backfire for the GQP.

Do you think "I don't read the newspapers" is a strong response to the question, "Did Trump make use of the hacked emails on the campaign trail?"

But you have me on ignore, so you get to take in only the reality you've created for yourself.

Do I have any predictions as to what Durham will say today and tomorrow? None whatsoever. But I do have considerable interest in learning what he has to say and learning what questions will be asked and responses given.
However, I'll be surprised if Bret Baier comes up.

You need to get out more. It's a big internet.

She's almost never wrong and appreciates corrective criticism.... Because of her record of accurate analysis, RWE shun her like the WW of the West of the Wizard of Oz shunned water.

"Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) told Durham that “I think you understand why so many of us are underwhelmed with some of your recommendations for the FBI” and that “people like me … are baffled — just utterly baffled — that more people have not been held accountable for their crimes.”

At least Biggs had the guts to say publicly that the report was a huge disappointment for Republicans who were so desperate for a damning report laying bare pervasive political corruption and criminal wrongdoing by the FBI. Durham didn't even recommend and specific changes past those Horowitz made most of which have been implemented.
