I recently received a PM from someone who shall remain nameless asking questions and commenting on my "tone" and how I should give them some respect. I tried to be as courteous as possible and gave them some advice, not just about me and how I post, but about things in general.

I got to thinking, "I'll bet there are some good nuggets of learning's that newbs to DP could benefit from."

So here's your chance… take your top 2 or 3 (or more if you want) nuggets of wisdom to pass on to the next crop of non-bobo posters who could benefit from it, if they chose to take it to heart.

• Try not to get hurt feelings. It's only the internet.
• Use links to support your assertions.
• Read Forum Rules
• Don't let someone else suck you into violating Forum Rules.
• Be willing to walk away.
• Admit when you're wrong.
• Admit when you change your mind.
• Remember, people can't see the twinkle in your eye or read your body language from your typing. Choose your words carefully.
