DP Person of the Year

Its that TIME again where some old magazine says something everyone talks about for 5 mins, but isnt really relevant. So its TIME to suggest your own person of the year.

What PERSON do you think had the greatest influence on US politics in 2020? Let assume Trump is already mentioned. Pick someone original.

Ben Sasse.
I appreciate anyone from that side going against the corrupt tide.

What is your preoccupation with spending MANY HOURS defending Trump’s indefensible actions?
Are you talking about President Trump having 3 + years of record low unemployment rates for just about every demographic? Or helping to defeat ISIS, kill their leaders and taking back the territory that they gained under Obama? Or the fact that Trump has kept us out of foolish new wars? How about improving our border security and opening up diplomatic relations with North Korea? Being the first G-10 leader to ban travel with China and Europe? Improved international trade deals? Securing legislative tax reform? There are so many WINS to talk about under Trump that I admit it's sometimes difficult to contain.

Another Executive Order that will be challenged as overreaching his authority. Another pr stunt fail.

The real question is why did Trump turn down 100,000,000 vaccines?

I see you’ve put on your Spandex tights and are ready to begin spinning piles of alternate facts.

Stick to the thread topic, or go start another thread titled “Chuck9788’s potpourri of Trumpster delusions”. ;)

So to be clear, you are against prioritizing vaccines for Americans?

Do you agree with Pzizer (below) selling to the highest bidder?

"Pfizer has gone ahead and entered into agreement with other countries to sell them some of that vaccine in the second quarter of 2021,” Gottlieb told CNBC.

Your not putting up arguments, only name calling. I am here for rational and respectful debate. Unfortunately you seem to be having some sort of meltdown.

Trump got more votes than Obama. Hardly crashing and burning.
He got a smaller % of the vote than Obama and more importantly than Biden. And thats what counts. Trump is a loser

Trump can be LOSER OF THE YEAR

I have been posting valid arguments. That they upset you isn’t my concern.
Unfortunately you seem to be having some sort of meltdown.
:D You’re confused. The below is a meltdown.

Oh, I thought you meant who was DP's person of the year, as in our poster. I was going to nominate RedAkston for moving the site to XenForo.

Be that as it may, I would say healthcare workers.

Trump didn’t order vaccines into production anymore than he “claimed” states following the election because he doesn’t have the authority to do either.

And Trump hasn’t paid one cent. The American taxpayers have/are.

Get a clue, Acadia.
You want to play make believe in TDSOMB world, go ahead.
The sane people will sit back and watch you give all the glory to Biden when he stumbles into the Presidency and takes credit for all of Trump's work and leadership.

Why? But for Trump and Operation Warp Speed, we would not be seeing Americans receiving covid vaccines within 24 hours from now. That's near miraculous and it takes massive TDS to deny that he called for, led and made possible a moon shot.
Trump is not the only person who could have led and operation to distribute a vaccine. He just happens to be the one in office at this time. Any democrat or republican would have done a much better job and you know it.

Why then did he only pre-order 50 million doses (or 25 million in actuality)? Does he not know how many people are in the US? I'll tell you why, because of the same mentality that prevented us from massive testing at the beginning, "It's only blue states" said Jared Kushner. The Trump plan has been flawed from the beginning.

I just can't believe people are still defending the stable genius who just lost as an incumbent by more than 7 million votes. Trump has been nothing but bad for the US in every way possible.

You people stay on the Trump train and the rest of us will move forward with adults in the WH.

Meh... I prefer that religion be kept out of a secular government.

"As a senator juror, I swore an oath before God to exercise impartial justice. I am profoundly religious. My faith is at the heart of who I am," Romney said in a Senate speech, before getting choked up and taking a brief pause.

"I take an oath before God as enormously consequential.

How many atheists in congress? Spare me the hand-wringing.

GA Sec of State: Brad Raffensperger. If not for his firewall, this seditious attempt by Trump to overturn the election might have actually succeeded.

No, Trump sucked. That's why he is a one-term embarrassment. Maybe it's time to smell the coffee on that.

Unlike Trump, who desperately needs constant affirmation and praise, Biden will give credit where it is due. To those who actually created the vaccines.

See, this is where Trumpism fails. The rest of us do not sing praises to political leaders. Well... except maybe when it comes to Kamala.

I will follow KayMo around with a silver chalice when she becomes president.

Well it looks like the leftists have destroyed another once promising thread. Just look at the last 7 responses (above), it offers nothing productive only name calling and childish behavior. Multiple angry anti Trumps posts make it difficult if not impossible to put a thread back on the appropriate track.

Wow, has the Right Wing distancing from the failed one-termer already begun?

Eh, what else should we expect from this forum?
