In a social media post late on Monday, the US president accused the newspaper of a “decades long method of lying about your Favorite President (ME!), my family, business, the America First Movement, MAGA, and our Nation as a whole”.

The president singled out the New York Times endorsement of Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election and said the paper had become a “virtual ‘mouthpiece’ for the Radical Left Democrat Party.”

It's not always about his actions, but more about his wishes. The comparisons are based on the things Hitler did and spoke. In Trump's case, they are mostly about what he wants to do. Using Bolsonaro, Orban or Putin are also great comparisons. Even Kim Jong Un would work. I think Orban fits best. Orban helped them write Project 2025 and they are implementing it as we speak.
