Yes, but I don't see any severe problems with Obama except to me he could've gone a little further (for example single-payer or public-option healthcare).
Truth is: There's just not that much a President can do without Congress, so I don't overly worry.
Hard to believe Americans are about to elect a President who will make Kim Jung Il appear to be a serious statesman.
Crazy as it sounds, I think he would've run wherever he felt he could easiest succeed, and at the time of initiating his campaign Hillary appeared unstoppable to the Dem nomination; so the messed-up, fragmented, disorganized Republicans it was!The GOP establishment is too afraid of Trump to pull that off. Trump will run as an independent in a heartbeat.
It is such an incredible risk the voters seem to be willing to take. And to think it is happening just after the experience with it we just made doing essentially the same with Obama.
Indeed, much reading comprehension has been lost.
For example, the meaning of the words "Primary" and "Chief".
At this point in the game, it's clear he's doing zero prep work for actually being commander in Chief. Which is why he continues to be clueless about major foreign policy issues (well, about a lot, but those especially). Nor does he seem to think that this is a problem, or that he should care.
What's missing here, is the fact that Mr. Trump's followers don't support him because he has solutions, but rather they hope or believe he can find solutions and recruit people to help him to this effect. His stature and personal success & accomplishments lead many to believe in his abilities, rather than his platform specifics. This last item is accentuated by the fact that the specifics offered by competing candidates are thought to be hollow words which will never come to fruition, and that perception is largely accurate.
It's actually a pretty slick & novel approach, and no other Presidential candidate has been able to pull it off previously.
Now as to whether Mr. Trump will actually be able to provide solutions once in office, it remains to be seen; but his supporters believe he will and that's why he maintains a Party plurality, with the possibility to even become a majority.
speculation... I don't see how he's acting different than any other candidate.
Why wasn't hillary asked these questions?
Then you should look up the other candidates, who can do things like list their foreign policy advisers. Because they have them. Because they are actually preparing in case they need to be POTUS.
Unlike Obama Version 2.1, who seems to think that by being Yuge And Awesome And Wonderful, the world is going to fall at his feet and obey.
Tu Quoque?
Very interesting take on this. There is a vast difference between the President's CV when he first ran for office, and Donald Trump's CV.
The President brought little government experience, and it can be argued, no economic/foreign experience.
Like him, or not, Donald Trump has vastly more experience in many relative and important areas than Obama did at the time. I don't think such a comparison can be made.
lets see, hillary who's given us benghazi...... bernie who has not suggested any..... I still see no difference.
At minimum/.
Exactly!I am of the opinion he squandered the opportunity. He had the power of his office to "sell" the American people. He should have drafted a clean American version of universal health care and ran on it in 2012
Well, to be honest, could it really be much worse?
Sanders is weak in the foreign policy adviser department (though at least he can name names). Hillary not so much. Because she's actually planning to be POTUS, instead of faking her way through it, and assuming via the Magical Power of Herself, she will lower the seas, solve the Israeli/Palestinian dilemma, etc.
It's a fallacy, dude. Saying that Hillary also makes bad decisions is not an excuse for Trump thinking he can just fake the funk through the Presidency.
I'm not claiming Trump will fulfill his supporters' hopes in him; we're always let down by our Presidents, at least to some extent.Sorry but this smells of hoopla. I mean we gave a man the Nobel Peace Prize for a vision of a world without nuclear arms (a vision with no roadmap) and his critics went insane. Now we have a guy who says "Meh. I have no real plans, but I *WILL* make things happen because "I'm a great leader" and people eat this up.
Its like we lower the bar just a bit more each time a would be politician speaks.
You don't elect people because you are just so sure they will do something without them telling you how.
Actually. You know what. Elect me. I'm going to give each American household a quarter million dollars. Let's make this happen.
Yes.
Almost any time you ask that question, the answer is: Yes.

It's like the whole country's gone bananas and lost all reading comprehension:
"at the appropriate time I’ll tell you who those people are."
Clearly indicates he's going to pick advisers.
Then just vote for hillary bro, What do I know.
I won't vote for either, but the table is pretty much set for republicans and democrat...., either vote one or the other. god bless america!
Yes, pretty much the same answer he gives when anyone asks him for the details of his "ideas" and "promises".
Personally I think, that as with all Narcissistic Personalities, Trump believe he knows it all and is smarter than all other men and would rule by executive order and those that disagree with his Commands will be "terminated".
I'm not so sure of that. First off, I think our relations with Russia would improve, if what Trump has said in the past is any indication
I don't know if he could have made Syria/Iraq any worse than what it is today.
Looks like my votes' going to Gary Johnston this time 'round.
How does House of Cards have better options for President than we do?
I vote libertarian, I have the "not evil" candidate.

I think he's a done deal, president trump will be a very wild ride.
