Don Lemon Stuns Co-Host After Saying 50-Year-Old Women Are Past Their Prime

CNN host Don Lemon shocked his co-host after saying that Nikki Haley, who recently announced her plan to run for president in 2024, and other women over the age of 50 aren't in their "prime."

"This whole talk about age makes me uncomfortable. I think it's the wrong road to go down. She says people, you know, politicians are suddenly not in their prime. Nikki Haley isn't in her prime. Sorry. When a woman is considered in her prime in her twenties and thirties," Lemon said.

Lemon was interrupted by Harlow, who asked, "prime for what?"

He went on to say that it is not specifically his opinion but said, "If you Google 'when is a woman in her prime,' it'll say twenties, thirties, forties."

A furious Poppy Harlow walked off the “CNN This Morning” set following a tense exchange with Lemon after he said the GOP presidential candidate was “not in her prime,” according to sources with knowledge of the situation.

One of the sources said Harlow took a “well-timed” bathroom break and was followed into the restroom by co-host Kaitlan Collins — who recently had her own run-in with Lemon.

What Lemon said was obviously correct.

It does no good to denounce leftists for accidentally saying something sane once in a blue moon. That only reinforces the paradigm in which everyone is afraid to deviate from PC orthodoxy.

Only 12% of Americans can read at a college level, and roughly half will forever be stuck at something like a jr. high level.

I’d guess the numbers are higher on an all-text forum, but I wouldn’t go getting your hopes up.
 
Don Lemon is an asshole and his comments are gross. I hope he apologizes.

Personally I think pretty much everyone on cable news (aside from a few straight-news reporters with no commentary) is an asshole, or else they'd be in a different line of work. But cable news shows are generally geared toward people much older than me, so I've never seen the appeal in the first place.

I think Lemon would be the perfect addition to FOX News Channel. He could be the Left-leaning voice on "Outnumbered" and "The Five"

Show me when Tucker Carlson has ever said that women are past their prime, over the hill, etc.
Come on -- scientific data shows that women live longer than men, have fewer bad habits than men.

Lemon, whose mouth works faster than his brain (because practically everything works faster than his brain) made his ridiculous remarks just to defend senile ByeDone
(ie. "Muh Biden not unfit! You unfit, Nikki Haley!")




So I'm not going to call for Lemon to be fired like Roseanne Barr, but he should walk back his comments.
People in Appalachia ( @Hatuey ) may feel there are bigger train wrecks than Don Lemon for people to worry about, but Lemon's entire career is checkered with nonsense.

This isn't "deviating from PC orthodoxy", it's straight-up misogyny. He didn't refuse to use a goofy pronoun, or say BIPOC instead of black...he said that a woman isn't qualified to be president unless she's hot. That's not some brand-new deviation from PC orthodoxy, it's retrograde sexism.

I'm not saying he should be fired or canceled. But he definitely should apologize.
