If claiming that disbelief is in fact a belief then one could claim that no taste is in fact a taste of its own. So, does water have a taste?

All beliefs have positive and negative elements to them. Both statements are true.

I can certainly taste water, not certain what your point is. Water and religion have absolutely nothing to do with each other.

what is pure water? yes, it does have a taste. minerals.

Its called distilled water. It is basically water that has been converted into steam and then that steam is condensed into a clean container.

If atheism is a religion do you support giving atheists tax exempt status?

When you consider the fact that religion does not require a belief in a divine or supreme being then atheism can be a religion.

well, if minerals are there, it has a taste.

Distilling water takes out the impurities which also takes out the minerals.

Some water does have taste. Would I consider something absolutely pure without any kind of taste to have a taste? Not sure, probably not, but I don't see the correlation to Athiesm.

I don't think athiesm is a religion per se, but its a belief system as are religions. Its a trust and a belief in the notion that all things are explainable through natural laws and there is nothing outside of those natural laws.

There are other belief systems that also aren't religions. For example, someone that believes we are simply the results of a genetic experiment by aliens, or that we are simply an alternate reality that is nothing but the dream of some other being, are both belief systems that also doesn't have any semblance to traditional "religion" as its commonly used.

I would actually say your agnostic types as being the closest to no taste. The people who simply don't know whether or not there is a god/supernatural/higher being/etc and simply don't care, holding no real belief in it existing or not existing.

Religion has left a bad taste in my mouth, many felt that religion should be forced, those doing doing this probably never realized it..
Good water does have a taste, its far from pure , which is nigh impossible on an economic basis.
And atheism is NOT a religion, nor can it be..

water naturally contains minerals, right?

No. It doesn't. It contains the molecules H2O. Nothing else. If it contains something else, it's water AND something else.
