Does The Bible Support Slavery?

As I said, not directly. Anyway, what's your point?

It is a direct condemnation of paganism. There’s no way round that.

Also your claim that Jesus wouldn’t speak about cultural issues topples over faster than the tables of the Temple moneychangers when you consider *Jesus toppling the tables of the Temple moneychangers*.

"Large part"?

Go ahead......
So you're going to just take my word for it? I doubt that. If you care, go read up. I won't derail the thread entirely.

Back to the instruction book for slavery... er, the old testament...

Money changers as cultural wrongs? Nope.

He didn't condemn rape, spousal abuse, drug abuse, alcoholism, racism, misogyny, age discrimination, gender phobia, trafficking, pornography either.

No, I'm waiting for you to support your claim.

Right, because of course he didn't. His myth was created by people that didn't find those things as immoral and unethical as we do today.

No, I'm waiting for you to support your claim.
So you can say you don't believe it, no matter what I say. I know this game. If you were honestly curious, you would go read up. Moving on...

Money changers IN THE TEMPLE were a cultural wrong and Jesus had no problem speaking about it.

That had absolutely nothing to do with the culture and everything to do with it taking place in his Father's house...

“Take these things away from here! Stop making the house of my Father a house of commerce!” John 2:16

It was the culture of the time. Why did he have no problem speaking out against it but couldn’t take a single sentence to say that owning slaves is a sin?

lol...

So you see the difference then. His condemnation of money changers was because they were violating something holy, something relating to God or the things of God. That was a large part of his ministry, pointing people to God.

Not a list of things to make the world a better place.

What I've read on DP is pretty weak. I thought maybe you had something better.

And it was part of the culture of the time.

Is slavery not a violation of something holy? Is it not a sin?

It is hilarious that your supposed messiah couldn’t even spare a single sentence to clearly state owning slaves was a sin.

Is it not a sin?
lol...

Gotcha. Your opinion seems to be pretty weak, given the mountain of evidence of the grift of the jesus myth. I figure it's affected by your faith.

Exactly...not what Jesus came for, since he knew the world is ruled by Satan...he came to offer hope/salvation to those who wanted it...those who didn't, he dusted his feet off and went on his way...

Contingent on the magical threat, of course.

This is why you won't catch me making the mistakes made by Thomas Jefferson. Jesus was an immoral and nauseating character. "Believe or else". Gross and childish. A toddler can do better.

And it was part of the culture of the time.

Is slavery not a violation of something holy? Is it not a sin?
Sure. Same as rape, incest and premarital sex. And trafficking and theft and spousal abuse. And murder. And racism and age discrimination.

Let's see Galactic's mountain of evidence.

Wrong..."Believe or continue on in the course you're already on...death...your choice"...
No difference. Your weird cult take on it might fool fellow cultists, but not rational people.
