Does Donald Trump act Presidential?

Does Trump act appropriately for a President?

  • I'm a Republican; I don't think he acts appropriately

I've stated repeatedly that if a fair, impartial and entirely bipartisan committee were set up to investigate the state of the electoral process as a whole (and not just the pet faves of Trump and Co.) I would absolutely come out in support of that. This little kangaroo investigation that Trump has sent Pence out to handle, however, is a transparent joke set up as nothing more than to give Trump the results he wants to assuage his vanity.

Evidence wise for voter fraud, nothing has come to light to suggest it's a statistical problem. The idea that it is an endemic problem remains a fancy of the right who are just looking for excuses to suppress the vote of "undesirables."

If that was so then why do the states not show us their systems to keep illegals from voting?

It is impossible to have confidence when all we get is "Trust us".

Governments have generally proven to be untrustworthy.

Bad poll. Independents and Libertarians are not included.

As an Independent my answer is no. Trump does not act presidential. He is an embarrassment to the nation. His words and actions reinforce the growing belief that he has serious mental health issues.

Documentation please.

He been acting appropriately and considering the huge task presented to him he may
ruffle a few feathers of those who are used to 'politically correct' politicians. Trump is a
godsend, if acting presidential was the way Bush & Obama acted I want a president who
proceeds much differently than those two; much, much differently!!!!

I think it's important for Presidents to carry out actions promised to voters who put them in office.

Standing up to global and domestic forces allowed for years to take chunks out of the US economy, and fundamentally alter it's vision, requires someone with the backbone to change that.

In an age when it has become the norm to insult and attack people who have different beliefs and opinions, the complaints about President Trumps personality ring hollow to all but the few who require instruction on how to respond to them.

Except Trump's job solutions are moronic. For every respected economist who thinks protectionism is a good idea...I can find you five who think it's a TERRIBLE idea. Wall Street panics every time he talks about it at length.
Protectionism is a HORRIBLE idea. All it does is gain a few cruddy jobs that few want to do at the expense of massively higher prices for almost everything.
And you say he has done what he promised? That 35% tariff was a HUGE thing he promised again and again and again. Where is it? He has not even hinted at legislation for it other then the occasional threat to other countries.
I will tell you why he has not done it...because the business types in his inner circle are telling him what a moronic idea it is and why.
Anyone who thinks 35% tariffs on imports is a good idea has NO IDEA what they are talking about on the subject...NONE.
It was tried and it failed...horribly.

I feel that it is important for the President to act diplomatically, tactfully, and respectfully.

Do you think Trump meets this standard?
No, he does not. I don't mind the idea that a President can be somewhat irreverent and push some buttons, but I do mind a President being an empty minded douchebag of a bully who gives no forethought to his actions and what the ramifications might be.

I do not participate in "I'm a <whatever>..." polls, btw.

Have we ever seen a time in our USA when no one is allowed to question the success of a raid, like in Yemen, without being accused of doing a disservice to the death of the Navy Seal?

This 'trump/Bannon fascist attempt to silence all discussion' does the greatest amount of disservice to the death of the Navy Seal possible .

We left common ground long ago, so I'm not trying to stir the pot. But I've been trying to understand this type of complaint.

A big portion of half the voting population, and portions of the remaining people, communicate thoughts and opinions in exactly the same manner as President Trump does from time to time.

From what High Ground do these complaints originate?

It seems to me it's like someone who drops the F bomb every other word is complaining about the language someone else is using.
You're arguing for the lowing of standards.

Why is there no option for independents?

I think people need to understand that it takes a while for a "civilian" to settle in and get used to the way things are done. He's an outsider and not a career rent seeker like 90% of congress.

Give it time and the job will crush him like it does everyone else.

Voter List Basics
Before understanding the challenges of maintaining an accurate voter list it is first helpful to know what a voter list is and how it is used. When you register to vote the information you entered on the form is entered into a database maintained by our office. This data identifies you as a qualified voter, eligible to vote in any countywide election or local election. In the United States the information you provide is based on the "honor system", which means proof of your citizenship is not verified. However, you sign the form under penalty of perjury, which means you could face criminal prosecution if you provided false information on your voter registration documents
https://www.ocvote.com/registration/maintaining-an-accurate-voter-list/

Then after they talk about how they keep the rolls correct, but not a word about how they try to keep illegals off the lists, because I argue they want illegals to vote.

Look at NY State claims:

http://www.newyorkstateelectioncomm...- Maintaining Voter Records - August 2016.pdf

Notice not a word about keeping illegals off the voter rolls.

Sure, but then he makes a point to tell us that he knows more about pretty much any issue than anyone else.

We will see in four years, whether we mind.

I think it will be sooner than that. If keeps this up and keeps doing stuff that violates the Constitution or keeps going lone eagle. He is going to piss the wrong people off and they will impeach his ass.

OR the main stream in this country who don't belong to any party will get fed up and realize what a mistake they made and correct it in 18. Then Trump will go postal and they will impeach his ass.

Republicans didn't vote for Trump because they wanted someone "presidential." They voted to "turn him into a missile and aim it at Washington" (their words, not mine). They specifically wanted a bad president, and now they just can't understand why everybody is so upset at him.

Can I get an AMEN - Amen

Being neither a democrat OR a republican, I can't vote.

But Trump acts bat-**** crazy. Period.

Case closed.

Hey man you forget where you live unless you committed a crime (federal) or something else really bad you can vote at home in the General look it up. Wisconsin has open primaries (or did that change). In any event. vote and vote often preferably in the same election.

Define "acting Presidential". We didn't hire an actor, we hired someone to do the job that needed doing. I couldn't care less.

Oh please he's at a level all his own that no president has attained when it comes to audacity and vulgar behavior. At least not one in our modern times. Who are you kidding?

Actually he is not. Look at the behavior of Andrew Jackson. It wasn't really that close but Jackson tried to order the death of people he did not like and constantly challenged them to duels while in office.

Results over style, what a novel idea!

Thank you for your kind words on the Carpenter Ants. They're pretty easy to kill once you know where they are. Pretty cheap, also. Bought a house with the things already there. The house was pretty neglected and this was one of the bad things included.

After two years, the ants are gone and remodels is almost completed. It's been fun and educational.

Do you have a link to the "46% of the country that wants him impeached"?

Do these 46% understand that they will need a whole bunch more %'s to accomplish their goals?

Seems to me they should concentrate more strongly on the 25 seats in the Senate they will need to defend in 2018. If they are successful in defending an astonishing 68%, 17, and lose only 8 seats, they could be in very deep do-do.

Next time you get them and there will be a next time. Buy a lot of Boric Acid and spread it around the inside perimeter of your house, the inside of your cabinets and in as many nocks and crannies as you can find. If you have a dog or cat you have to be really careful.

Boric Acid will decicate the critter and after a couple of days they will "blow" away. IF you are lucky they will get the powder on their "feet" and take it to the colony.
