Do libs have a line in the sand?

Kind of already knew the answer to this thread. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

Cant see libs standing for anything really. They will either accept it or try and flee like the lady here.
Lot of libs in my unit in the military.....how about yours?

My father once quipped that a liberal is someone who starts an argument and then leaves the room when the fight starts.

Why die when you can leave?

I’m not putting my life on the line because of a policy in a state - or even the US.

I’d move first.

Seems silly to die for something when I can move somewhere else more aligned with my beliefs.

But you do you I suppose.
I've always wondered why people all of a sudden forgot "America, love it or leave it".

Was on the Rittenhouse / Gun thread, and it got me thinking.

I am pretty sure many conservatives line in the sand is their gun rights.

Many would band together and defy the government's attempt to confiscate their guns.

Do libs have a line in the sand?

Judging from all the libs I know, I can't really see them really making a stand (that involved anything that could get them injured) over anything.

Thoughts?
FWIW, I would not draw the line (i.e., my line) on guns. My line is speech.

getting paid and likely not dying doesn't equal actually risking your life for no money
There were no libs in your military unit? Clearly you served to protect your country....right?

It’s also poorly thought out.

Is a gun worth your life? To me the answer is no.

Is any particular “thing” worth my life? Nope.

The only thing I’d give my life for (or risk my life for) is my family.

And option 1 would be to get my family out of the bad situation first. Not to “take a stand” against the government.

I have no desire to be a “hero”. I’ll happily take myself and my family to a different state or country way before I’d die in some failed coup or “fight” against the government. The piece of land I reside on isn’t that important to me…the fact that my family is alive and well is WAY more important.

People that think they’re going to “fight” the government in a literal fight are really not thinking.
I've been shooting since I was 10 and have owned the same handgun for 45 years. I haven't used it in a long time. I have been to an Aces game this season and I have tickets for the 30th.

I'd be much more upset if the Aces moved than if I lost my gun.

Of course, this is just a keyboard warrior thread. I'm betting MAGA would be the first to cower in the closet crying, "Please don't shoot me."

The OP shows how many fascists there are. Democracies "fight" with votes. Fascists fight with violence. (Keyboard warriors cower.)

plenty of libs in my unit.

they would gladly get a check and chill at the desk behind the lines.

don't call it the chair force for nothing haha

Really? What US (federal?) policy change would cause you to move (to another country)?

I see. You must have been one hell of a PJ. Always in the action

And history shows us for the most part, that Fascists lose. ;)

Look at the entire course of human history -

Civilians leave whenever they can. They get AWAY from danger.

Even the leaders evacuate.

You don’t stand and scream at a hurricane, you get out of the way of the hurricane and then rebuild.

You don’t keep your civilian population in the path of war - you evacuate them OUT of the path and then strategize and send in soldiers.

Why on earth should average civilians stuck around if things ever went SO sideways in the US it came to “taking up arms”? It’s stupid.

Evacuate.

Get out of the way of harm and let people much more wise and with much better resources deal with the fight.

None that I can see as a becoming a policy in the near future, hence why there isn’t a “for sale” sign on my house.

more people to fight and resist the better

more people to fight and resist the better
More people fighting = more people dying.

Not interested in dying.

No one fighting against the United States government who has the United States military on their side is going to win.

They’d blow your house up with a drone in seconds if it came down to it…and there’s not a damn thing you and your little arsenal could do to stop it.

This thread is an exercise in keyboard nonsense and faux bravado.

absolutely.

i recommend everyone to join the military.

teach you some discipline, hopefully some skills, get free university etc.
So special forces? Front line combat? Right?

If you look at history’s successful revolutions, rare was the case where the revolutionaries were not outgunned.

I agree, but many on the political left feel compelled to trust (have faith in?) big government to make them feel secure. The problem seems to be that the more ‘social justice’ is provided by big government, the less secure from criminals one becomes.
