I got this idea from Christians for gay marriage thread. Due to this post..

But only humans go to heaven

And it brought up an interesting question. Is it really just humans that go to Heaven? Or can ET's go to Heaven also? Yes I know there's no proof of ET's but come one...there has to be. This universe is just to LARGE for humans to be the only intelligent life. So for the sake of this discussion lets pretend that there really are ET's out there.

Sorry I may have put this in the wrong area. Could a mod please move it?

I would PM a specific mod (no one in particular) and ask the mod to move it. He/she will do it.

As for the question, when I believed in heaven, I believed that we would see our former pets there too. So had you asked this question 10 years ago, I would say that animals go to heaven too. Now I say NO ONE goes to heaven. That is, of course, my opinion. But come on, heaven?

If there is a heaven, and I were to somehow get in, I hope that animals are in heaven too. Because a part of heaven is a well cooked steak. Can't get that without animals...

Adventism teaches that there are alien races on worlds that have not sinned. They still have the same relationship with God that Adam and Eve had in the garden. That said I am not an Adventist. Point being though is that different denominations have a different view regarding alien life. My own opinion is that the Bible describes God as a God of justice. It would make no sense nor would it be just to create a race of intelligent beings and then just kill them later for no just reason. So if such races do actually exist then my personal belief would be that God has somehow made himself known to them and they will have a share in some kind of after life or future creation that God may have planned.

Not sure but I know Devil Dogs are guarding the gates.

Nah there is no heaven your just waiting to be worm food. Why would a loving God deny a worm eating your brain where your thoughts are.

That might be my physical thoughts...but what about my metaphysical thoughts? Hmmm? ;)

1) I don't think heaven exists.
2) I think if we find Extra-Terrestrial then the validity of the bible will be in even more trouble.

Don't see how. The Bible says nothing in anyway shape or form about weather or not there are ET's.

The universe doesn't owe us confort

I think the question presupposes that there is even a heaven at all.

That is probably because the Bible was written by human beings.

or because the Bible was written for human beings. fubu, you know? ETs probably have their own separate one.

Of course it was written for human beings. That's even more evidence for it being written by human beings. We always have this desire to think that we are so important.

yes, it does. I hope you aren't offended.

humans are so egotistical.

I don't know, but I like to think that after death the good soul continues to exist in a state of bliss. If so, then my dog Jake is now a very blissful mutt.

But it could be that it's just, "Bang, bang, out go the lights!" for all of us.

Kal, yes there is a heaven it is called,

United States OF America.

no probs about that.

kind regards to you Kal.

Nobody got into Heaven. Well, maybe just like 3 or 4 lost children. And a couple of pound puppies. And our dead fish, Marvin. And Snap, Crackle & Pop (but I think they count as elves, which aren't really human). The End Daze came and went and the rest of us missed The Bus. Now we need to make the best of what we're left with.

DAR
