Actually, I think this has more to do with incumbents in those districts who are facing a primary fight from the far left fighting back. Then too, far left candidates do poorly in swing or competitive districts. Since last years defeat, the democratic party hasn’t decided in what direction the party should go either or decided on who’s going to lead the democratic party. Hogg is a mole for progressive nutbags.
They lost for a lot reasons and one of the big ones is they allowed the party to be pulled into crazy town by nutbag progressives on social issues. The message to the party was/is clear - they need to move back to the center on social issues instead of doubling down on crazy. And that means getting rid of the progressive mole who is trying to undermine that shift.
