Did Trump just lose Postal Workers?

So? He has wanted to privatize them from the beginning. He didn't gain or lose anything.

It's not up to him whether the privatize SS or the Post Office. He is sabotaging the USPS to make his statement that they could not handle the mail in votes a self- fulfilling prophecy. In plain sight like interfering in our elections is not illegal. This is what happen when you let him get away with it in 2016...he keeps on doing it. Not that the Trump zombies care. They like cheating just as much as he does, maybe more.

To be fair, he had NEVER really had the support of many postal workers, most of whom are Dems.

As most fed Workers?(Non military)

The hand that feeds them is the main reason

We have spent most of the year calling them heroes, and now Trump treats them like this. I appreciate them more than ever. They are vital workers especially during election years.

And we'll just poo poo that USPS was in shambles before the virus?

I mean if I was a Postal Worker I'd likely be thinking "Do I want my job or do I want Trump to keep winning?" and make my decision that way....

So... in other words Postal workers are "Bought off"

i wouldn't recommend voting Republican if you work for the postal service. of course, i also wouldn't recommend voting Republican.

Federal govt. civil servants almost never vote Republican anyway.

So they'll be lucky if they can vote this year at all.

Even luckier if their votes get delivered and way more lucky if their votes get counted.

The reason is that PutinTrumpRowers are running the show throughout.

If the armed forces personnel are allowed to vote and if their votes are delivered and if they are counted Trump is likely to be the first Republican for president to lose that vote since I don't know who. If the armed forces votes are negated then Trump is likely to become the enemy our forbears fought against to defeat.

Not sure he considered that. He's waged a war on the USPS in order to hamper and destroy mail-in voting. I doubt he considered those ramifications.

Trump is no more than a one move ahead checker player.

The question is whether #45 can get away with this blatant coup -- using the government to suppress votes in areas that he will normally lose, so as to declare a win for himself. If it's that blatant, I can't see the courts not stepping in to force the PO to stop what they're doing.

If he gets away with it, there goes American Democracy.

What makes you think so?

What makes you think so?

In the annual survey of active duty armed forces by the Military Times - Syracuse University Veterans Center, Trump has gone minus 13 points in his favorables across all the services of all ranks.

In the 2019 poll released in December Trump was judged unfavorable by 50% and favorable by 42%.

This is a sharp reversal from his November 2016 result of 37% unfavorable and 47% favorable. There's very little middle ground of course, ie, neutral.

One can more than reasonably expect that, as this translates into military and family votes in November, Trump will be taking even more serious gas than he's been taking steadily since November 2016. Big military absentee ballot vote states include Florida and NC among a few others. Trump would confiscate these ballots too at his own risk, if he went ahead to confiscate postal ballots he and Putin don't like.

This poll btw is a Pentagon approved survey given the sensitivities involved in surveying and polling active duty personnel across the armed services of all ranks and stations during their off duty time only. The extremes were that only 31% of all officers viewed Trump favorably while 65% of Marines viewed Trump favorably. These are very vast marginal views from the normative views expressed by respondents.

Yeah, all is better when he signed that Big Military spending bill

Follow the money

You need to follow the debts being run up because of Trump's coronavirus mass murder of Americans and the economy subsequently losing 20% percent off GDP. You need to pull your head out to follow this because the Pentagon will be reduced by 3% in next year's authorizing legislation. The armed forces know already whodunnit, how and why and his name is Trump.

It only continues to get worse each week so your simplistic and glib answer is pathetic as by the time next year rolls around Pentagon may be looking at a greater than 3% reduction. It won't only be the Pentagon budget that gets a chunk lopped off but that's the one you are focused on so this is the reality of it for you to look in the eye so you can get stared down by it.

Trump's coronavirus mass murder of Americans

Oh.... brother....(sigh)

Something like 40% of Trump's coronavirus mass murder of Americans are veterans.

Trump's veterans support is getting soft as a boiled egg too, along with Trump's being underwater with the armed forces domestically and globally.

You guys are rowing up ****'s creek.

Just a little advise

Stop being so partisan. It will set you free

That would be advice.

And you can can it.

Sell it to some sap somewhere because you've lost all the arguments here. Veterans and active military want Trump out of town at high noon January 20th. Trump would be wise not to call their bluff on this either.

So you've been carpet bombed, ie, Trump is on course to lose the military vote which will be as always by absentee postal ballot. Trump fully intends to stop those votes too. He'll need an army to do it of course but he doesn't have one.
