It seems that EVERYthing that the Dems endorse or "are supporters of", are things that are bad for the country. It almost seems like the Dems want to take America down or bankrupt the country, or? Does anybody have a theory as to why this is? I mean, they like high gas prices, they want "sanctuary cities", criminals, no borders, LBGTQ, men in women's sports, kids having sex changes, and WE should pay for it all! WTF is up with these people? There has to be an agenda. I don't know what it is but I think these are Luciferians. OR?????????

I was referring to what seems to be dominant in Hollywood and to the rich and powerful - where they have ceremonies and drink the blood and eat the flesh of babies they offer up for sacrifice in these ceremonies. I can't honestly say that I'm what Hollywood would refer to as "dominant" but I did enjoy almost forty years of very rewarding hard work.
I got to shoot film and video, I was a film editor, I shot freelance news on the side, I built a small handful of facilities, even owned a couple of them.
Love affairs, a failed marriage followed by the best one a man could dream of, two wonderful children, earthquakes, riots, a few years in the Editor's Guild, but on the whole I have a lot to be grateful for!

when i attend protests of Any flavor, i do it a bit more Subtle than that.

note how i work these DP forums. well maybe not a good example, but back to a No Kings approach Revelation style.

1. get there with dark sunglasses, hat and a camera like some news type of person.

2. small talk around with a smile and be interested in whoever you talk to.

The leftist extremists appear to believe that their positions resonate and are popular with the rest of the electorate, but they simply aren't, but they don't notice this, as it is never covered in their liberal / progressive echo chamber media outside of which they simply don't go, mentally, thinking or physically.

But when I called his bluff I suddenly got a frantic phone call from.....HIS MOTHER, accusing me of egging her son on and would I please "just leave him alone".
I heard him screaming his head off in the background and what I heard convinced me that I really was engaged with someone who was in deep trouble, trouble of his own making.
But why contribute to the mess, I thought

It was only after a cryptic note landed on my windshield that I realized I'd better leave it alone but keep an eye on him.
He didn't stick around very much longer after that because I guess his demons caught up to him.

Sometimes one encounters people in a public venue who are just barely hanging on.
Not suggesting anything other than some mindfulness about hidden personal problems and the burden such people are carrying that we may not know about.
I sometimes feel bad about people like that.
What must it be like walking around thinking everyone you see who isn't sporting obvious MAGA symbols is secretly drinking children's blood on the sly?
It must be pure Hell for them.

It has been leadership that has always been the underpinning of what I do. In news, I took the lead in getting the story first, sometimes exclusive. It was hard demanding work and claimed two relationships. I too worked in media, both in front of and behind the camera. But I started as a laborer in a furniture factory and graduated to truck driver. Then educated myself

In business again I chose to lead, bringing new and innovative computer solutions to the business market, most notably lawyers.

Then I taught myself horticulture and became a professional gardener..


....and retired at 61.

I'm just saying I never got nominated for any Oscars.
I've won a couple of Telly Awards and, back before public cable programming was considered Emmy territory I got nominated for a "Cable Ace" award, which is now an Emmy category, I guess.
If my eyesight and hearing were still top notch I think I would still be out there working as much as possible, but sadly that is not the case and if you can't trust your eyesight in a tiny camera viewfinder and can't hear what a director is saying first time every time, your twenty-five year old competition is going to flatten you unless you DO have one or two Oscars or at least a couple of noms under your belt.
The elderly old buzzards who DO wind up with a couple of statues or nominations enjoy a lot more latitude instead, and I agree they have earned it.
When Haskell Wexler would arrive on set at age 88 or so, a half dozen or more young guys and gals would eagerly gather around.

"Mister Wexler, may I go get your gear, sir? Mister Wexler, I'd be glad to carry your lenses for you.
Mister Wexler I'll make sure you copied what the director says so there's no confusion."


And yeah he did deserve it because he was Haskell ****ing Wexler, the guy who shot "Cuckoo's Nest" "Medium Cool", "Virginia Woolf" and countless other gems.

I worked in live television news for many years.

I had my share of "encounters". One madman hung on for over a year before they nailed him. Only time I heard of anyone doing a year for "Mischief" which was dropped from threatening. It's a long story and not entirely relevant but I was glad for my excellent relationship with the Hell's Angels.

Because, generally speaking, the far left doesn't hold policy positions because those policies have been proven to be effective. They hold the believes they do for an entirely different reason: self satisfaction. More specifically, progressives crave the feeling of moral superiority. It can't be that someone who disagrees with them is simply wrong on policy. That person must be seen as wrong because they (the conservative) is somehow evil and they, the progressive, become noble by comparison. Oppose DEI policies? You must be a racist. Oppose expansion of the welfare state? You must hate the poor. Support Trump? You must be a fascist.

So it's not really that they want policies that are bad for America. It's just that good policy isn't the objective. The opportunity to virtue signal is.

This boils down to the left vs. right principles involved. The right operates under individual/self-interested politics while the left operates under inclusive/collective ones.

The respective principles reflect certain values each oppose from the other. That's where defensive posturing such as "It's just that good policy isn't the [liberals'] objective. The opportunity to virtue signal is." stems from.
