Yes, marching in lock-step IS a requirement of any Conservative organization. IF the Republicans want to regain Conservative voters they need to start weeding out the Moderates and RINOs.
When your voters sent you there to do something specific and you ignore it, then YES it is a Capitol Offense.
Any Republican signing onto this should be thrown out of the party just before their constituents draw and isquarter them.
lol...
You already have all the conservatives pretty much so therefore you need independents. And your grand idea is to cut independents out of the equation?
THAT's how you intend the GOP to grow their party?.
No. That's how I intend the GOP to return to being a meaningful organization. It's not about growing the party. It's about purifying it.

Which Republican?
TP Republicans seem to despise "regular" Republicans.
"Regular" Republicans seem to lack some respect for TP Republicans, but just go along with them for fear of being "primaried" or blackmailed or extorted in some fashion.
So what you have left is a group of Republicans willing to defy the TP. Ummm, should they not have a voice?
The Tea Party is quickly becoming the reason that Republicans will lose not only more seats but the ability to be elected POTUS.
Purifying it = shrinking it
shrinking it = reducing political influence
reducing political influence = wtf do you want to be in politics?
Sieg Heil comes to mind.
To see if people are truly worthy of what thus country offers them or if it's time, once again, to tear this country down and start again from scratch.
I'm sure it does. The Nazi ideas were not ALL bad.
No non-Conservative Republican should even be allowed in the party, never mind given a voice or a vote. Winning elections is a secondary need compared to maintaining a morally pure and principled organization. Besides, lose enough seats and maybe true Americans will be move to the action we truly need.... Blood in the streets.
That my friend, is the purified definition of extremism.

It's a debatable point.
The ACA as it stood in passed in the senate would not pass in the house as it was constituted at the time. The way that the house wanted to pass it wouldn't pass muster in the Senate after Kennedy's seat was replaced with Scott Brown.
So a deal was struck in the House to pass the ACA, with essentially a verbal agreement that a separate bill amending ACA with all the issues the House needed to get people on board would be passed by the Senate utilizing reconciliation.
Thus, they basically piece mailed the final bill into two separate parts singularly due to the technicality of being able to use the reconciliation process on one part of it.
Completely legal and reasonable to do by congressional rules...JUST like what the Republicans are doing right now...but at the very least debatable in it's application and outside the norm...JUST like what the Republicans are doing right now.

You think me to be that much of a Democratic Party Partisan huh?
Or are you putting me in as saying that to Deezad?
That my friend, is the purified definition of extremism.
That second one.
I was saying that I agreed with your statement to the poster you responded to, and your statement with the parties swapped was equally applicable to deezad
Yep, that's tigger for you. There's people on this forum on the left, there's people on the right, and then there's people like tigger that both sides by and large tend to look at and just shake their heads. To tigers credit, he does own his beliefs regardless how pretty much everyone views them.
So let the Tea Party form their own party. I am on board with that decision. Thumbs up.

My problem with the this whole thing is if the GOP succeeds here the precedent set can be catastrophic. Imagine anytime a party gets control of the House all they will have to do is decide to defund any law they don't like.
Because party membership means marching in lock-step, and angering your voters is a capital offense?
