"Democrats, you do NOT want to nominate Joe Biden"

One can be for gun control and still be for the 2nd amendment.

even giving you the BIG benefit of the doubt that anyone proposing FURTHER gun control laws on our 2nd amendment rights could POSSIBLY be pro 2nd amendment: taking all the guns by force, like beto campaigned on, is pretty damn anti 2nd amendment.

Yeah, this is the kind of stuff that makes me nervous about Biden being the nominee.

Sadly, Americans are used to Republican candidates for President being bumbling idiots. However, they are not used to seeing it on the Democratic side.

Biden is going to create a ton of problems for himself between now and November.

As long as he has a pulse, I'll vote for him.

BTW, I'm old enough to remember when George McGovern (1972) was being heckled by someone in the front row. He put up with it for some time, and finally he'd had enough. He leaned over, looked directly at the man and said "Kiss my ass!"

You would think McGovern had been caught diddling a little boy. It was absolutely scandalous. The GOP lost its collective mind.

He took all three.

Some of the exit polling is interesting. Don't remember the numbers but when presented with "defeat Donald trump" or "agrees with my views," Biden voters overwhelmingly said "defeat trump" while a majority of Sanders voters said "agrees with my views."

It shows the pragmatic/ideological divide in the party.

This election isn't going to be about pragmatism or ideology....it's going to be about getting rid of Trump. If the party can't unite on that then there is no party.

Biden can win, but he's not going to make it easy on himself. I still think, between now and November, Sanders would do better than Biden in a one-on-one race vs Trump. But I have to live with the results and support Biden now, unfortunately.

Yep, I will run with it. Even sorry Biden can run with that. Which is why Biden is going to win, even though he kind of sucks.

Not a chance. As soon as we start talking about Obama 3, he is DOA. Hilarity ran on that, remember? America wasn't as sold on Obama as you folks were, and his value has not gone up. Oh, yeah, Biden sucks, too. I had forgotten about that.

I think they're learning that lesson right now. As we type, I'm sure.

I'd like to hear from Cruz and Rubio. It would be nice if they grew a spine and began a legitimate conservative debate. I'd like to discuss free trade, fiscal responsibility and law & order.

Instead, the debate on those issues has come from Nancy Pelosi, not the Republican Party. Strange times.

As long as Joe Biden is the candidate up against Trump, I think Democrats will sweep all three, Presidency, House and Senate. Then we all have to cross our fingers that he doesn't croak.

Bernie should really get back at the dems for screwing him again by running as an independent. Socialist would be a tough sell, but that would be great revenge to say eff you, I'm running on my own and taking the Bernie Bros with me.

He would get nowhere as an Independent since the last president elected as an Independent was George Washington.

Here's how Biden wins in one sentence:

He and Obama announce that Obama will be his chief of staff, guiding policies, sort of like Dick Cheney for Bush.

If Beto is going to work with Biden he'll have to follow Biden's policies, not the other way around.

There are a lot things about Biden that I don't like...but I'm going to vote for him because I don't think the country can take another four more years of Trump.

I know it and you know it. But just sayin'. To get back at the evil DNC

That's exactly what pragmatism is, getting rid of Trump.

That was the dichotomy; "defeat Trump" or "agrees with my views."

Who knows, maybe that already occurred in Helsinki last year. LOL.

Trump did look a little green around the gills when he walked back to the podium.

He really should run Green.

But he won't.

The Democrats are VICIOUS, and would do to him what they did to Nader in 2004.

That's how McAwful made his bones.

DNC = Criminal gang

Funny, but no.

The only way the Democrat nominee could win was with Katy Parry as their VP.

And she's pregnant.

Trump = Not the problem

4+ year Democrat tantrum = The problem

The Democrat Party, like the Republican, is controlled by the oligarchy.

Their mission was solely to destroy Bernie and Tulsi.

They don't care whether it's Biden or Trump as long as Biden chooses a corporate toadie like himself as VP.

Pretending that the Democrat Party is anything OTHER than an appendage of the oligarchy is sweet in its innocence, but simply doesn't reflect reality.

Since an oligarchy pays your wages and Trump has been setting one up here since he took office, you'd think you would like them.

No Bernie won't be your spoiler, you don't own him like you do Trump. Trump is done and there is nothing you can do about it. Putin is going to be really pissed.Wait until he sees the sanctions Biden will lay on him for being such a dick. He may have to use his doomsday machine on himself.:lamo

As long as Biden is careful, patient and respectful, things should go according to plan with Sanders. But first we have to wait for our schoolmarm to speak up.... and trust me its coming soon.

I composed this ode to Warren just now!

Lizzie Warren took an Axe,
Gave ol Bloomie 40 wacks,
When she saw what she had done,
Gave the Trumpster 41!

Progressives who support Sanders do so because they share his deluded thoughts about what people need to be safe. What Americans need is sound fiscal policies, not pie-in-the-sky feel good dreams about decimating the rich and the economy under the delusion money can be raised to stop weather patterns around the world and end poverty everywhere.

"Democrats, you do NOT want to nominate Joe Biden"

Hillary didn’t lose because she was “safe” or uninspiring.

She lost, mostly, because she was overconfident. She believed she was to be “the chosen one” over Trump, who was the only presidential candidate in history to have a lower approval rating than her own.

Trump busted his ass, going to places Clinton felt weren’t worth her time. Many times more than once. Factually, Trump put in the work and Clinton didn’t.

Tbf, I think it's a dubious proposition to think Biden is going to out-campaign Trump. Trump loves the podium. Biden is unsure and bumbling. Bidens handlers barely let him out for 10 minutes at a time for fear that he is going to get his lines confused. If Trump confuses his lines he somehow spins it into an asset or, it doesn't matter since he has the power of incumbency.

Quite true in many ways

Clinton already tried the "Trump's bad." Campaign message. It failed to produce a desirable result.

It worked in the midterms pretty well.
Sanders tried the "Corporations bad" campaign message. It failed to produce the desirable result. This is the second time and its actually doing worse.

Agreed. To Biden’s benefit though, he starts with more supporters than Trump, and a very sizable portion of those supporters are more interested in ousting Trump more than they would be in any (certain to happen) Biden gaffes.

Big, huge even, difference during debates is that Trump will be immediately/directly confronted when he lies, and there’s no reason to believe his incumbency will be of any help.

As for Biden; yeah, he’s always been a goof who says stupid ****, but as long as he doesn’t lie or falter terribly in answering questions, he should win every debate.

Having trump as an opponent, instead of someone who is smart, informed, and unprejudiced should actually benefit Biden. ;)
