You should read it before commenting on whether other posters have read it.

The case for impeaching Trump over Ukraine has proved “compelling and overwhelming.” But it has not proved “bipartisan,” because congressional Republicans care less about weighing evidence than displaying their allegiance to Trump.

Pelosi and her fellow Democrats have behaved honorably. Politically, however, they are facing the very backlash that she feared a partisan impeachment might spark.

The article is saying that democrats proved their case, the president is corrupt, but that Republicans really have no morals or ethics so they are fine with having a corrupt president as long as he's on their side.

P.S. - Read before posting next time. I know you won't admit it and I know you'll pretend like this doesn't make you look silly, but it does. It's embarrassing that you'd post an article like this as though it's very wise and correct and then back track when you find out it trashes your side more than the other side.

Donald had his brief moment on top propped up by his GOP cult and a questionable Gallup poll.

When Barr and the McConnell s of the country are covering up by lying for Trump, Donald is safe. When Donald opens his mouth uncontrolled he goes downhill fast. Good luck next polling.

This article is saying that Democrats damaged themselves and Biden more by impeaching Trump than if they hadn't impeached Trump.

do an investigation of Biden/Burisma and if it turns up nothing was amiss then maybe Trump did wrong. I don't think you get a pass on corruption just because you are running for the democratic nomination. Dems are very good about covering for their own. Hillary, emails, Benghazi. Bill Clinton affair in white house wit intern, lie to cover it up in federal court, that is a crime folks. Dems voted to acquit. Just like he republicans.

Exactly. I said for months that impeachment was political folly, futile, and would backfire. After the Ukrainian call I did feel that it was inevitable because you can't really fail to call out the president if he enlists foreign help in a domestic election. But inevitable or not, I knew that it would backfire. It did.

The Democrats gave the Biden scandal more attention than Trump ever hoped to.

It was literally impossible to talk about Trump's impeachment without mentioning Biden's Ukraine scam. Now? The impeachment is over, but the Biden scam ain't goin no where...lol
 
I said, the fake conspiracy theory that Biden was corrupt in Ukraine will be for Biden the same as the Swift Boat fake conspiracy was for John Kerry and will doom his candidacy. He won't recover. The Republicans' dirty tricks work.

From the start there was no threat that Joey (foot in mouth) Biden was ever a threat in the presidential race. There has never been an attempt by Trump or the GOP to subvert the coming election. On the other hand there has been more than enough evidence no matter how the LSM has tried to subvert the 2016 election and since the coming 2020 election. Try as they might the Progressive Marxist Socialist/DSA elitists have worked 24/7 since November to impeach and/or overthrow the will of the American people. IT began with the $9 million dollar funding from the Clinton campaign to Perkins-Coie to create the Steele Dossier right up to the acquittal vote of the Senate.
I's not over as we have seen in the debacle created in Iowa. Nor have the sore loser Pelosi, Schiff and company ended their attacks. There's more to come. I personally fear that because the Left is losing so badly they may physically attempt to eliminate Trump....

Biden was already damaged by Trump and no one wants to vote for a guy that tells his constituency to vote for someone else.
 
No, Democrats, in spite of their strong desire to avoid it, were backed into a corner and left with no choice but to impeach this most dishonest of Presidents.

That he was acquitted is on the tOP (formerly the GOP) who put on a sham trial that will be remembered most negatively by history.

Also, what Trump did was wrong regardless of whether an investigation was warranted, but the facts are that the investigation isn't warranted. There's absolutely no evidence that Biden acted in any manner that wasn't in accordance with official US policy. Numerous republican senators, the US government, the international community and numerous were also in agreement that the prosecutor needed to be removed. You need only look at the articles from the time. Nearly everyone with the exception of corrupt officials wanted the guy gone. ( Ukraine Ousts Viktor Shokin, Top Prosecutor, and Political Stability Hangs in the Balance - The New York Times ). So to put it bluntly, your question is idiotic and farcical.

Sure, the administration missed sending a memo to the GAO or Congress that the aid was delayed, but historically, every administration has. Sometimes there are delays in these things.

I don't seem to recall Obama, or any other president for that matter, having any fauxrage over it. Why are the 'rules' for Trump so disproportionate, so hypocritical, so double standards, so one sided all the time?

I mean you knew going in that Trump would not be removed from office. Was the right thing calling 62 million people deplorables, causing them to go out and vote for Trump in 2016? Is the "right thing" calling Trump supporters racists, bigots, misogynists, Nazi's, white nationalists and accusing them of wanting to destroy democracy?
