This is where the Democratic Party needs to go.

Republicans are radicals. Turning everything upside down. Ignoring the Constitution.

Traditional conservatives have been thrown out of the Republican party.

Sanity now lies with the American Democratic Party.
 
Democrats represent maintaining the status quo.

Radical Republicans favor making all kinds of poorly researched changes - really all from Donald's shoot-from-the-hip unpredictability.
 
Other than TDS, Democrats as a political party is essentially disbanded. They no longer represent anything.

Democrats represent sanity. Republicans are the new radicals, wanting to do all kinds of changes which have not been well planned.

Whether you like it or not, Trump has broken the Democrats like he did the Republicans in 2016. They're historically unpopular and we now have what effectively amounts to a civil war in the party between moderate liberals and progressives. They're totally disorganized and confused.

The broader issue is that minorities and the younger generations not only do not support Democrats like they were expected to, but young men in particular are increasingly martial and radical. This will worsen as economic conditions continue to stagnate and the perception of the possibilities in the future becomes more grim.

Consider the following:

That 13% "no lean/refused" are not moderates, they're radicals that have left Trump. Democrats do not have the time to be the "party of sanity" and that hubris is going to be why they lose.

They do represent the School of Tortured Analogies to some degree. Then there’s the Institute of Exaggerated Yawning. They’re fairly good on those fronts. The University of Dedicated Deflection….I could go on…
 
The problem is that Dems are more internally divided than the GOP at the moment. And progressives don't want the Dem party to be a "sane" or conservative (in the sense of cautious) party, they want radical and disruptive change.

There are too many fanctions in this country that want to control 100% of policy without first having convinced more than even 35% of the country of the wisdom of their proposed policies.

Yep, you nailed it. They just do not represent what the American people want these days anymore. They are not going to win another election in this country until they learn to become at least a little more bigoted and anti-science. The American people these days prefer chasing after cat-eating Haitians, cancer-causing wind turbines, and autism-causing vaccines. That's where America is these days.

It's obvious that the Democratic party is becoming radicalized and moving to the far left. The upcoming "New Guard" Democratic Party leaders are socialists, Marxists, and neoMarxists - Radicals.

In 2004, 39% of Democrats described their views on social issues as "liberal/very liberal"; however last year (2024), 69% of Democrats describe themselves that way. That's a huge increase, and it reveals a push towards more radical leftist views.

There are rifts within the GOP, but they don't really mean anything. The GOP still stands for the same traditional values it always has.

My goodness, how silly. The democrat party has shifted SO far left over the last few decades that it is unrecognizable.

If JFK were to appear today, democrat numb nuts would be calling him far right.

"Left" meaning accepting science, having compassion for everyone, supporting their freedom to live their lives as they choose, and wanting government to regulate commerce, and help the needy.
 
Dems want things to be like they were in the late 90s while the gop wants to regress 80 to 100 years.
