His main problem as I see it is that he throws out labels with NFI of what he is talking about. If you don't agree with even his most extrme views he tries to insult you by using the word "liberal" as a club LOL . (directed at NP) You can label me what you want in your own ignorance NP. But i will tell you, you dont know s.hid about radical centrism and you need to learn about it before you come and talk to me and start to categorize me through you own ignorance. You are beginning to speak a language no one else but you understands. I usually don't judge people NP but you get judged by me as an extremist because you attempted to judge me. I can see why you are winning the contest that is going on in the basement.

And Bush's firing of Rumsfeld suddenly after the elections especially saying he will not get rid of him beforehand is not a compromise of principles? In both parties there are those who could and are called Hypocrites. But is it really hypocrisy to have progression of thought?

To me it shows a willingness to govern from the Middle and extend a hand towards Moderates and to promote Bi-Partisanship. That is more than most can say for the extremist right faction that took over the Republican Party and how they governed with an Iron fist approach towards Liberals and Moderates alike.

tell that to the senators and the congressmen/women who could do nothing because of the heavy handed tactics of the extremist right. Honestly, the Extremist right were so oppressive they wanted to take away the minority's only way to block something from passing, the filibuster, so that they could have no voice to voice their concerns. I wish that they would have been successful in removing the Filibuster, since the Dems regained both houses, they could rub their wrong doings in their faces and tell them to sit silently giving them no say and see how they like it.

See I thought the definition of a hypocrite was spouting off one thing and doing another.

For example, you spout off about the evils of things like the welfare state, entitlements, and liberalism.

Yet by your own admission, you draw Social Security. Thus, you call socialism evil, yet you take advantage of it yourself. That would seem to me to be text book hypocrisy. Don't you think? :2razz:
 
It is a requirement for all Politicians that they be Liars as well as Hypocrites.

That is a crock and you know it.............The only issue the Republicans wanted to take away the filibuster on was the nominating of judges because until the dems tried it that was never done before in the Senate......A nominee deserves and up or down vote as per the constitution of the U.S.

How you can compare welfare to SS is mindboggling........SS is and entitlement.........Welfare is a giveaway program......Two completely different things.........You claim your a moderate but when you make stupid statements like that it makes one wonder.......

I paid into the SS system for almost 45 years even though I never thought I would get a dime back from it.........I planned my retirement under that thinking...........If SS went away tomorrow it would have very little effect on me........

Republicans rail against "entitlements" -- unless it is theirs.

Navy Pride was all for ditching the SS security system -- as long as those ditched were younger folks and not those (like he) currently on the dole.

Principle is great, until it gets personal.

I don't know where you get your info from but you are really misinformed...I never said I was for ditching the SS system.....I am for letting prople take a small portion of their contributions and putting them in a private savings account that would pay 4 to 5 percent instead of the 1 percent it now yields.......If I were a young person I would jump at the chance to do that............The SS system is broken.............It needs to be fixed..........Even your Daddy "Slick Willie" said that.........What part of that do you not understand?

How does social security "yield" 1%? What is the "yield" on your life insurance policy?

If I were a young person I would jump at the chance to do that............The SS system is broken.............It needs to be fixed..........Even your Daddy "Slick Willie" said that.........What part of that do you not understand?

Zero, I have a million dollar term policy on myself.....

Since I never figured to get the benefits of SS that would not break my heart.....You going to give yours up too?
