Democratic Sen. Alex Padilla is forcefully removed from Noem’s news conference and handcuffed

Hear, Hear!!!

What you wrote. The Democrats' House of Cards has already collapsed. All they're doing now is proving why it did.

None of that is relevant.

It is supposedly a free country and civilized.

Supposedly although there is scant evidence
Yes, in a free country people often have opportunities to question government officials. But general rules of decorum apply in situations like that presser. So I believe my points represent valid questions to be answered before taking sides.

Mike Johnson is THE weaselist "Christian" that I've ever seen. He's not even a man in the traditional sense.

Only if you are seeking a soft way into conflict.

There were no 'general rules of decorum' broken. **** we've seen far, far worse by Trump himself. As a career reporter I have been the guy in the middle of the room firing questions.

I completely reject your argument as self serving and vapid

The man was assaulted without cause. Me? I would sue and win!

He was wearing a polo exclusively used by US senators and it said US Senate on it

WOW

A lot of work for nothing.

As a siting senator she knew EXACTLY who he was. There are but 100 in the entire ****ing WORLD!

If she didn't know, she's either blind and stupid or brain dead and blind.

isn't this the women who murdered her dog because she didn't know how to train it?

I'd say you lost the argument when that stupid bitch assumed the podium!!!!

There is no defense for abject ignorance

His shirt logo was not visible underneath his jacket. Watch the complete video. Post #269
While the scuffle was taking place and he fought back against security, they were too busy to look under his jacket to see the logo.

The Washington Post and other outlets confirmed he was not wearing his Senate security pin, which contributed to the Secret Service’s initial failure to recognize him.

I agree. Yes, normally. It should be.

I also, think it was intentional. I would not rule out that he planned to get arrested. I agree. Yes, they did. Yes & Yes.
It does look like it’s down hill from here on out.

I agree.

Thanks for posting the entire video. I found his actions wrong, but I thought her comments on what was a likely illegal action by the administration equally inexcusable. She not only was defending a violation of law and accepted practice going back several decades, she went out of her way to insult the governor and the mayor, as if they were the equivalent of segregationist Governors Faubus of Arkansas or George Wallace of Alabama in the 1950s and 1960s, the last time this sort of presidential moving of troops happened. She suggested without evidence that NGOs were sponsoring the violence, and I assume just for fun, threw in the label “socialist” to describe protesters.

But this is the political world Trump has brought us, with some democrats acting like some of his supporters.

She let him play his game. She kept talking while he played his game. She did have a meeting with him after the incident.

I’d say she & I won the game.

I agree, there is no defense for the his abject ignorance. He lost the game.

Padilla was admitted to the building after passing a security detail, then escorted to the press conference by agents knowing that he was no security risk, but other FBI agents didn’t trust that their colleagues had done a sufficient job of checking identities. Then they disregarded Padilla when he stated his name and position as a U.S. Senator.

The claim that the agents acting like goons were justified is beyond reason.

Their behavior is more in line with instructions not to let anyone embarrass Noem.

Hearing that DHS was acting to “save” Los Angeles from the actions of our elected mayor and governor made my blood boil - who is Noem to override our elected officials? I can imagine Senator Padilla felt the same.

This is the best counter you have made all day, but that's not saying much. I live in CA. You live in a tiny insignificant foreign country who gets their fake noooz from the libs.

I too live in California.

Canada is NOT a tiny insignificant foreign country. Canada is one of the best allies of the U.S., if not the best.

Or they were until January 2025 when DC tried their best destroy relations.

Arrogant comments such as the above are the basis for the image of the “ugly American” — a mindset so insecure that any foreign criticism of the U.S. is reason to lash out to humiliate and disrespect the speaker.

Have been there? Serious, not a flippant, question. From what little I could see from the videos it didn't appear small. Camera lens can distort things, though. I don't know.
It looks to be about the size of the average federal court room which certainly is not huge and it looks like he was behind the csmeras to the right. When he came in 4 minutes prior she would not have missed him bc he was escorted inside

He didn’t plan to get arrested. Why are you not saying a damn thing about her saying the military is there to forcibly remove the mayor and governor

He wasn't arrested.

Shrug. Arrested detained removed.. more than welcome to quibble with someone who cares
Isn't this what happened?

No he was put in handcuffs and pushed out.
Well reverse that. Pushed out and then handcuffed.
There was no walking out
Exactly what did happen, apparently.

Not exactly. But regardless he didnt act right

He, uh, asks her questions and she answers them face-to-face in the senate. They aren't strangers.

Save you baited, trollish questions for a novice.

We're done here.

We were done when you couldn't answer why she couldn't have treated him civilly.

Just curious, do you like Trump's state-sanctioned violence?
