Democratic Sen. Alex Padilla is forcefully removed from Noem’s news conference and handcuffed

Video footage released by Padilla’s office shows the Democratic Senator approaching the podium during Noem’s remarks: “I’m Senator Alex Padilla. I have questions for the Secretary,” he said before several men, including officers wearing FBI insignia, physically pushed him back. Moments later, Padilla was shoved to the floor face-down in a hallway outside the briefing room, handcuffed, and temporarily detained in an adjoining room.--Senator Slammed to the Ground and Handcuffed at Noem Event in L.A., Time, 6/12/2025

Disruptive provocation and just plain rude.
Don't you get tired to the marrow of outright lying?
You and I both know if DJT did the exact same thing, you all would be making your signs of adoration to hold up at his small 🍄 parade. And we all know it.

How was it an inappropriate disruption? Its a presser and he identified himself and asked a question. She should have answered
Wasn't she still speaking and not yet taking questions? When she called for questions, or ended and started to leave, that would be the point at which Padilla's challenge would be entirely appropriate.

Free Speech does not mean disruptive conduct is allowed.

.
Oh yes it does! Protest is not in the Constitution if it's violent. But the Constitution accepts non violent protest.

I've learned about how many lies Fox has told about this. The distance he was from her, the claim that he lunged, the claim that nobody knew who he was are lies.
Free Speech does not mean that you can go in and disrupt speeches/debates.

People are removed for disruption all the time...

.
And reporters shouted at Biden every day. It happens regularly. Sometimes they are removed and other times not. There's no fixed rule on removing protesters.

Have the last word because I'm not going to change my mind.

Meh, he acted like an idiot and got treated like one.

Any normal human knows by kindergarten that engaging in desperate attention seeking behavior will result in subsequent natural consequences. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Putting one's hands on another, forcing him to the floor, and then handcuffing a person who interrupts another who is speaking is NOT an appropriate response.

Pretty sure that was well after he was already removed from the room. Initially he just said his name.

/
Regardless, I am pretty sure both Kristi Noem and the secret service who accosted him knew full well who the **** he is. Trying to claim otherwise is vacuous and assinine.

Is that the path you want to take? Because it is quite telling if so.

So what? Reporters do this. The fact he interrupted her does not make the over-the-top response appropriate or acceptable.

Senator Alex Padilla, Democrat of California, was forcibly removed on Thursday from a news conference being held by Kristi Noem, the homeland security secretary, and handcuffed after he pushed past guards at a federal building in West Los Angeles.

“Sir! Sir! Hands off!” Mr. Padilla, 52, shouted as federal agents tried to muscle him out of the room where Ms. Noem was speaking inside a government office building about 15 miles west of downtown Los Angeles. “I am Senator Alex Padilla. I have a question for the secretary.”

Disruptive provocation.

"Disruptive provocation"? All you have to do is prove that the Senator's action justifies others' putting their hands on him, manhandling him, forcing him to the floor, and then handcuffing him.

And show that this is standard procedure meted out to others who "interrupt" speakers.

And yet here you are responding by insulting me. You know what that means when a poster has to resort to insults right?
I simply cannot take the fake bullshit of maga crying about insults. It's stretches the bounds of reality to the point of abject mockery. I am supposed to listen to you all say every disgusting thing and then care when you get a terminal case of the sadz? Beyotch please.

Insults don't phase me. And it just makes you look small.
Didn't you just cry about it a post it two ago. Yeah. Ya did. Boo ****ing hoo. Dish it. Take it. Or leave the arena.

There it is again, "you all would be . . ."

What "you all" is that?

Incorrect.

When someone is somewhere they aren’t supposed to be in a secure facility, this is exactly what would happen to any of us. As a Senator, he knows security protocols. He violated them on purpose knowing this would happen because he’s a desperate attention-whore.

And that’s giving him the benefit of the doubt, because the only alternative is that he didn’t know the above facts, which would make him a bumbling moron.

Your opinion re what would be done - and what is appropriate to be done - in a Federal facility counts as much as mine. Both of us are anonymous posters in cyberspace. Neither of us has the bona fides to be considered credible on the topic of security in Federal buildings.

Reporters do what? Approach the speaker while asking their questions? You've watched enough of these pony shows to know they don't. If they did, they'd no doubt be removed just Padilla.

All you need do is prove the FBI agents recognized him as Senator Padilla. Go ask them.

You need to actually watch the video. He comes barging in towards the podium, doesn't ID himself until they have him detained and out of the room

The video doesn’t show him entering or barging in or any such thing. It shows him being forced out and looking upset about it. There is insufficient evidence to come to your conclusion from this video snippet.

I am anonymous, that's what makes your posts so sad. How could you let me get so deep into your head?
