WHAT?

Another AOC thread?

Of course she is right, but you know what is going to happen?

Because of who she is they won't take issue with her comment but with her person.

Wanna bet?

Her critics think that she's stupid. Too many big words for the REAL Americans?
Oh, yeah... she's wicked smart 😂 😂

Where's Jay Leno? Surely this is part of his JayWalking series?

AOC has a BA degree from Boston University College of Arts and Sciences where she majored in international relations and economics.

Which is ironic . . .

"If socialists understood economics, they wouldn't be socialists." - Friedrich Hayek

Word Salad.

WTF is she trying to say?
Uh dude, she's speaking this language called English. Anyone past high school should be able to read those few sentences. Try it, it's not hard!

As to her comments, yes it makes sense to me. I'd like to anonymity stripped out of the process as much as possible.

Some context would (might) help this be coherent. What has the Supreme Court done, or what does she expect it to do, that creates/will create the supposed problem she's talking about?

And how does a "society....campaign anonymously," exactly?

no no, not real Americans, the backwards Americans

Here is the engineering version of what AOC said - assuming of course that the attributed quote is actually what AOC said. The provided picture gives me pause. I don't care enough to do my own research on this matter.

In any case, enjoy. And don't forget about reducing the sinusoidal repleneration with your reciprocation dinglearm. Or as AOC puts it - don't look forward to any society that campaigns anonymously while exercising direct democracy of initiative thanks to the Supreme Court.

I prefer to keep the secret ballot.

When was the last time you exercised the direct democracy of initiative?

About two weeks ago at our last city council meeting. I try to do something along these lines at least monthly, depending on work and family. One benefit of COVID has been easier direct engagement with our democratic institutions since everything's been online so it's been easier to be active this past year. What about yourself?

Sounds like the Democratic Party platform. Seriously, with the vindictive as confrontational way the left approaches their enemies, what she’s advocating is an invitation to doxxing, attacks, deplatforming and miscellaneous violence.

The statement is rather broad and thus seems ambiguous to me. I agree that the SCOTUS should not be upholding laws which shield the sources of political contributions from public oversight and scrutiny. Money is not free speech and that position should be abandoned by the SCOTIS. I agree that politicians must be taken to task for their political platforms and for either failing to fulfil them if they win election or if they ignore parts of those platforms once they are elected to office. If she means an end to secret ballots in general elections, then I think that is unwise.

Cheers and be well.

If she is against stacking the court for political purposes then I agree that justices should be chosen differently and maybe even have term limits or forced retirement at a certain age. But, if she is for packing the court for political advantage then what she says is nothing but a biased partisan lie and she is full of shit.
