Sean Hannity did a sit-down interview with Trump after he returned from Hanoi. Apparently, during that interview, Sean Hannity made a comment that piqued the interest of several in Congress. It was a comment about the hush money payments and according to Hannity, he had been told several times by Cohen that Trump never told him to make those payments.

Dem rep: 'I look forward to' Hannity's testimony

Rep. David Cicilline (D-R.I.) said Thursday he would "looking forward" to Sean Hannity testifying in front of Congress after a comment the Fox News host made during an interview.

Cicilline was referring to an interview between Hannity and President Trump which aired Thursday.

"Sean Hannity is now volunteering himself as a witness," Cicilline, a member of the House Judiciary committee, tweeted. "I look forward to his testimony."

Now, that would be interesting.

He's firmly Team Trump, which means he'll lie.

The job description of being a trump supporter is to lie in the defense of Donald Trump.

Perhaps likely. But it would entail perjury.

No. But some have paid the price. And, that works for me!

The way it appears to work with these people is:

Step 1) Trump associate commits perjury (you cannot skip this step in the process).
Step 2) Trump associate gets indicted, threatened with indictment, and/or finally sentenced to prison for perjury.
Step 3) Trump associate tells the truth.
Alternate step 3) Trump associate continues to commit perjury.
Step 4 in response to alternate step 3) Trump associate goes to prison for a super long time.

If there has been an exception to this sequence of events, I'd like to hear it.

There's also an additional extraneous reaction, that's predicated upon step 3:

If 3a, the perjurer is demonized as a liar and cheat - by the President and remaining supporting players.

If 3b, the perjurer is exalted as a hero and appears to be pardon bound.

That is wholly correct.

Sean is a complete wussy. He can't handle anyone disagreeing with him in an open forum, when he testifies, he can't turn the sound down on the questioner and talk over them.

Good luck getting Hannity to stop interrupting long enough to answer anything.

Yeah, he'd definitely be out of his element. I think he'd do poorly.

But isn't that true for most of the hard-core Trump surrogates? They function in the delusion fake-reality they've created together for their followers, but then when they have to deal with the factual-reality of a witness stand, they crash in flames?

It's because of the rarefied irreal micro-world they've created for themselves. The can't operate or function outside of it.

And of course you feel the same way about Clapper, Hillary, Brennan, Abedin, and Mills because they all can be proven to have lied either to Congress or the FBI or both. Right?

Really? Where was the GOP congress during all this then when they had the power? I mean that GOP Senate is right there still. Why don't you go holler at them for not doing you bidding?

They (r/w media) have become a defacto branch of government, so yes, get Hannity and some others in there under oath.

Hannity and Alex Jones. What ****ing great show that'd be. It'd be the highest rations ever for a boring house testimony.

If they perjured themselves before Congress, yes - let them face the consequences.

Yep, Fox has become the house organ of the administration.

Trump is on tape discussing the payment.

And every other major media outlet is the mouthpiece for the opposition.
Yes, but that's the media's job: to be a proper fourth estate. Government should be questioned and held to task - vigorously.

Sorry, but that is not what the media is doing. Yes, FOX leans right, but every other major news outlet leans left. Today, they are virulently anti-Trump and nothing more than the propaganda outlets for the democrat party.

No. But some have paid the price. And, that works for me!
Just wondering Chomsky, do you think that Clapper, Brennan, Rice, etc. Should also "pay the price" for lying to Congress?
