Dem CRT lies come back to bite them in the .....

The fact you think a comment about current people actively trying to rig structural disadvantages against minorities to reduce their political power is "off topic" proves you have ZERO understanding of Critical Race Theory or anything related to it.

My comment was 100% on topic. The fact you didn't understand speaks volumes.

How is teaching about slavery and the racism currently present in society teaching hate and division? Do you even realize how stupid the rhetoric you're regurgitating sounds?
I don't care what you define CRT as, I am fighting against dividing our children using race in schools. I also don't care what you think gerrymandering has to do with what you call CRT, I am trying to fight against supposed intellectual idiots dividing our children using race in schools.

if you want to talk about that subject , let me know. if you want to continue blabbering about how something off topic is over everyone's head because it simply does not interest them, then you do you.

I will state one more time that teaching that slavery happened and that racism is sometimes present in society is fine.

OTOH Teaching that one race is the root of all evil, is inherently evil , and currently are responsible for everything that came before them, is wrong and I intend to help see it stopped and/or made unable to be taught.

The only person I know that has recently suggested that there was “inherent evil in one race” was Donald Trump. And I don’t think current people are responsible, but that, for example, I as a white person might benefit from that trait much as a black person might suffer more than I for his skin color.
then you did not see the article I posted earlier in the thread were the parent stated her child asked her if she was evil due to what she was taught in school.

I don't care what you define CRT as
I define it as it is correctly defined. Why don't you?
I am fighting against dividing our children using race in schools.
So you're in favor of Critical Race Theory, right? Because CRT examines the role of race and how it affects the educational experience.

So if you're in favor of not dividing our children using race in schools then you must be a supporter of CRT. Is that correct?
I also don't care what you think gerrymandering has to do with what you call CRT
So, basically, what you're saying is that you have no idea what CRT is, don't care what it is, have no interest in what it is, but you're sure it's not good?

So you believe in and support Critical Race Theory. That's great!
if you want to talk about that subject , let me know.
Again, if you knew anything about CRT, you would know that's what we've been discussing this entire time.
if you want to continue blabbering about how something off topic is over everyone's head because it simply does not interest them, then you do you.
Again, if you think racism and gerrymandering and race in schools is "off topic", then you probably should leave this thread and spend a bare minimum of 15 minutes researching what Critical Race Theory is. Because that's all I've been discussing.
I will state one more time that teaching that slavery happened and that racism is sometimes present in society is fine.
You just can't teach it with CRT, is that it?
OTOH Teaching that one race is the root of all evil, is inherently evil
Hello, strawman. Always good to see you.
and currently are responsible for everything that came before them, is wrong and I intend to help see it stopped and/or made unable to be taught.
Do you have any idea how ignorant you sound right now? You clearly have NO idea what you're talking about it.

Then if she got that impression the teacher should be held accountable. But that does not invalidate CRT as a valid, albeit debatable way of looking at US society. No different than looking at, for example, the way American exceptionalism and blind anti-communism that led to support of mass killing in Latin America and Vietnam.

people can study that all they want, and that's fine as a college level elective, but what I am saying is, lets not teach our children to hate each other before they even know anything else. We can make regulations that stop that from happening without hurting adults ability to study CRT if they wish.

Its a "bait and switch."
You're correct, but in the opposite way you think. CRT is the bait and switch, claiming it's one thing but in reality it's a Trojan Horse for something else.

If you think that's what CRT does, you're a victim of right wing propaganda and I feel nothing but pity for you.

Oooh...a Trojan Horse. Sounds spooky.

A Trojan Horse for what?

So, again, you support CRT. Great.

Who is doing that?

I see you know as much about K-12 education as you do CRT.

Couldn’t agree more. But I think teaching about how race has affected our history, even at an early age, is useful. I learned in 1950s grammar school about the “black codes” instituted in the post Reconstruction South. But was never told of the many hundreds of lynchings of blacks in the South that enforced segregation, nor was there any study of lynch culture that had the South kill so many whites as well. A great book to read is “Black Like Me,” by (I believe) John Howard Griffin. Here was a reporter who had his skin dyed black in the late 50s/early 60s and traveled through the South to record his experiences. There were plenty of black people around who could tell the story he related, but it was almost as if we needed a white guy to REALLY tell us what it was like to be black in the South. I also had a distant relative who played baseball with Willie Mays in the minor leagues in the South. He said that all us white guys knew we “couldn’t carry Willie’s jock,” as the saying went, but Willie couldn’t stay at the same hotels as the white players could. He described how gracious Mays was about the situation, reassuring the white guys who complained that the hotels he stayed at were fine. I have had a couple of incidents of racial profiling (of me by the police as a dangerous Puerto Rican - I am Italian) but I can’t imagine how my skin color being a constant irritation would affect me. There is something to gain by all of us learning more about the role of race, not to feel guilty, but to understand.

I don't necessarily disagree. that was a terrible time in our history, and it does need to be taught, but we have to be careful in how to do so at a young age. Children who are told they are evil at every turn may well become evil. children who are told to hate someone for the actions of that person's ancestors, most likely will do so, and its a never ending game of hatred.

a bit of information about a bad era in our history is good at that age, while letting children of all races develop and form bonds. then later they can decide whether they choose to become more active in studies of such things.

Why in the ELEVEN years you have been a member here there has not been a SINGLE mention of CRT till this year?

Probably because of Covid. With virtual learning and parents at home watching what students are being taught.

"A theory which seeks to examine racism is really a bait and switch and a Trojan Horse for racism".

I'm not sure you fully understand the phrases "bait and switch" or "Trojan Horse"...I'm also beginning to suspect you don't know what CRT is. Or, more likely, don't care.

Yes...the theory is a Trojan Horse for racist ideology. Again, there is what CRT claims to be and what it actually is. What it actually is results in things like this.

"what CRT claims to be and what it actually is". This may be one of the dumbest things I've read in a while.

Thank you for proving you have absolutely no idea what CRT is. You sound as ignorant as the people who got all upset about Common Core ten years ago and made the stupidest arguments against it because they didn't want to know what it actually was.

I swear if "conservatives" would ever bother to learn what the hell they were talking about, they wouldn't know what to do with themselves since they could no longer live in perpetual outrage.

They don't need to know what it is. They just need to know that the right wing machine says it is bad, so it is bad.

Not a surprise just ignorance is displayed by you. You don't even understand what you're responding to, as proven by your next statement.
Thank you for proving you have absolutely no idea what CRT is.
I know exactly what it claims to be, which is what you're talking about. This shows you responded, stupidly, to something you didn't get. I'm not shocked.

Fortunately, I'm sure there will be another caravan of migrants headed this way next summer before midterm elections, so we won't have to hear nearly as much about CRT anymore.

Yes. Well, think about it. It worked with the idiots on the right. They were convinced by Trump and the other liars that thousands of brown people were about to invade our country and rape their daughters. That caravan was looming large, day in and day out, until the day after the 2018 midterms. Then it disappeared. Magically disappeared. Like that Covid thing magically disappeared.

Not a surprise just ignorance is displayed by you. You don't even understand what you're responding to, as proven by your next statement.
I absolutely understand what I'm responding to. I'm responding to someone who has no idea what they are talking about.
I know exactly what it claims to be, which is what you're talking about.
But you're here to tell the people who literally created the theory they don't know what they are talking about. Seems reasonable and not at all crazy...
This shows you responded, stupidly, to something you didn't get. I'm not shocked.
No, I get it just fine. I get that you have no idea what you're talking about, but rather than take the time to learn and understand, it is much easier for you to claim it is something it is not, just so you don't actually have to deal with what it really is.

But I'm bored so I'll play your game. Please tell me how this theory is "racist". Use specific examples from actual theorists, not stupid random stuff you found on your uncle's Facebook page. Oh, just to save ourselves time, regarding the picture you posted earlier?

"A statement posted on her website says DiAngelo was not the creator of the seminar, and was "unaware that her name, image, and work were being presented in this way and did not participate in or agree to the creation and distribution of an educational resource based on her research."

The statement clarified that the clips featuring DiAngelo had been taken from an interview the author did for the outlet Big Think in 2018 to promote "White Fragility."

...

"(DiAngelo) did not provide the slides that were included with the video, and they do not represent the work she does for her virtual or in-person presentations, trainings, and workshops," the statement said."

Yes. Well, think about it. It worked with the idiots on the right.
It never ceases to amaze me how many of them there are either.

No, you really don't. No rational person believes your bullshit, and the rest of the clowns that push CRT. We see the results of what comes from the racist pieces of shit that pushes this stuff. The fact that you quoted DiAngelo, one of the biggest peddlers of this insane ideology proves you don't know what the **** you're talking about more than anything else.

Oooh...a Trojan Horse. Sounds spooky.

A Trojan Horse for what?
Gotta watch out for those liberals with their CRT trojan horse. If we're not careful, people might actually confront racism in some small way.

Chris Rufo has done a fairly good job demonstrating attempts to integrate CRT into the Virginia Public School System:

Assertions that CRT is something that influences only graduate level studies, as we have so often heard on this site and elsewhere, is quite simply a lie.

You mean when it comes to disciplining kids?
