All you want to ban are semi auto rifles with large magazine capacities.

Meanwhile, the vast majority of deaths caused by fire arms are done with hand guns.

No president or congress GOP or Democratic will ever have the courage to defy the NRA and outlaw guns. Remember, after 2008 when there was a such a run on guns and ammo that there was actually a shortage on ammo? The NRA had the right-wing convinced Obama was coming for your guns and it never happened.

You guys can relax.

Everyone cares about people being shot. They're just frightened - the serious gun nuts want to be ready when the government-sanctioned jack-booted thugs attack. A scenario that will never happen.

There's a lot of talk going around about banning so-called assault weapons. States most certainly have tried.

I would be more concerned about States and municipalities than the Fed.

dems are trying to ban them in as many blue states as possible and then argue in favor of a federal ban-claiming those blue state bans prevent the firearms from "being in common use"

"A lot of talk". I'll never happen. The NRA is currently the weakest it's ever been - broke and corrupt and trump and Moscow Mitch are still terrified of opposing them.

Willy went ahead with the bump stock ban which is stupid and he was talking about the red flag laws which shouldn't be constitutional.

I know a bump stock ban and eroding constitutional rights with regard to due process in the case of red flag laws is not an all-out ban but it's a step toward it.

I think the idea behind this is to get them out of Pop culture so that nobody knows about them. And if people are kept ignorant of guns and their function it's easier to get them to vote for more control.

Think about all the nonsense people say about so-called assault weapons. Again it's just a rifle like any other rifle.

I can't believe people are so ignorant of that fact to the point they will argue with someone who's not.

we have had a few hysterics refer to these rifles as MASS KILLING MACHINES. When you see that, you can immediately write off ANYTHING such a poster has to say about firearms
