Day 14, Closing Arguments - Defense (Friday 7/12) [W:252]

Re: Day 14, Closing Arguments - Defense (Friday 7/12)

Ooops, state made such a BIG thing about "lack of blood", O'Mara uses the body to demonstrate the disappearance of blood on the body.

Re: Day 14, Closing Arguments - Defense (Friday 7/12)

Real life cardboard cutouts of TM and GZ. Who again??? was the "bigger guy"?? Sad so many people have this ingrained image of a 12 year old due to the blamestream media.

Re: Day 14, Closing Arguments - Defense (Friday 7/12)

Martin's family, leaves the courtroom in the middle of O'Mara demonstrating the "real life" size of TM.

Re: Day 14, Closing Arguments - Defense (Friday 7/12)

If you looked at the property lay out its not hard to believe at all.

Sorry, it's crazy. There are 3 streets, he was NW Captain, everyday for five years when he left the complex there was a Twin Trees street sign staring him in the face as he passed the clubhouse and when he returned there was one at the entrance to the complex since it was street on which you entered.

IMO belief in GZ's "searching for an address" meme is an indication of almost total blind bias.

Re: Day 14, Closing Arguments - Defense (Friday 7/12)

Again look at the diagram of the community.
Quite familiar with it, thanks.

I don't know if there are street signs in the "L" curve...
Generally there are two properties that street signs all over the country share:
1) they are designed to be visible from inside a moving vehicle
2) they are at intersections.

The "L" is in the middle of the block. So, that means it is not at an intersection.
Not being at an intersection means that there is no reason to think that there might be a street sign there.

Street signs are designed to be visible from inside moving vehicles. If there had been a street sign there, it would have been visible from inside the car.

So I ask you about how you would deal with the situation of driving on a rainy night looking for a street sign.

If you are driving on a rainy night and you want to find a street sign, do you
a) drive the intersection and look at the street sign?
OR
b) get out of your car in the middle of the block to look for a street sign?

O'Mara said "sussed"

Theatrics.

You couldn't keep me out of that courtroom if my son was the victim here.

Brilliant on miranda

Re: Day 14, Closing Arguments - Defense (Friday 7/12)

Well, if you believe GZ went looking for an address...who believes that?

I do . Absolutely . I've lived in the same development for over 30 years and I sometimes get the little cross streets mixed up.

Another one of your epic Fails, like Zimmerman never told the cops he feared for for his life.

It doesn't matter why he got out of his truck. That is not at issue here anyway.

Re: Day 14, Closing Arguments - Defense (Friday 7/12)

Is O'Mara getting close to ending???? I'm speaking of the defining "reasonable doubt".

If it didn't matter why he exited his vehicle, then why did GZ feel the needs to fabricate a reason?
I suspect that GZ thought the reason he got out of his vehicle was significant.

If you need to tell NEN where the suspect went, you get out.

Re: Day 14, Closing Arguments - Defense (Friday 7/12)

I believe O'Mara has laid waste to the notion GZ is "lying", unless of course as O'Mara proffers, you believe GZ was this "mastermind" of crime, he remembered EVERYTHING he learned in "school" but forgot *miranda*. I know this is a tragic case but it's almost comical what the state would have you believe.

Of course it is, he says he got out of the car to get an address. Of course when asked by NEN if he was following TM he says "yes" instead of "no, I'm looking for an address".

Heheh.

Re: Day 14, Closing Arguments - Defense (Friday 7/12)

If you need to tell NEN where the suspect went, you get out.
Can you explain how exiting your vehicle in the middle of the block helps you fulfill the goal of finding a street sign better than driving to where the street signs are located?

Exactly. The big question is why did GZ lie about so many things.

IF it was a good shoot, why the need to lie about it?

No one who interviewed him testified he was lying . . . or that they thought he was lying. In fact, exactly -- exactly -- the opposite.

Re: Day 14, Closing Arguments - Defense (Friday 7/12)

Here comes, in essence, proof beyond a reasonable doubt, GZ used self defense in this case.

If the street was real close(As apparently it was in this case) you would get out of your car. Very understandable.

Re: Day 14, Closing Arguments - Defense (Friday 7/12)

Plus Z tells police NEN asked him for an address, which was another lie.

Re: Day 14, Closing Arguments - Defense (Friday 7/12)

Keep hammering, the doubt

Re: Day 14, Closing Arguments - Defense (Friday 7/12)

So all of the detectives that said they didn't consider the very small inconsistencies as "lies" are just.......what? Covering for Zimmerman? Or are you just smarter than everyone?

Re: Day 14, Closing Arguments - Defense (Friday 7/12)

"If you have a reasonable doubt, GZ was NOT justified in using deadly force, you must find him not guilty". Powerful quote by Mark O'Mara in closing.
