Wow!

At least he is honest about who he is and what he believes!

This is the same man who won't wear an American flag pin or put his hand over his heart during the anthem....

I mean i respect his opinion, but i don't think i want him leading this country. I would rather have Hillary.

So what?

How many hundreds, or thousands of people are working for Obama?
How many offices across America are there?

Is Obama supposed to control everything that happens in those offices like some maniacal dictator?

I think it's more about the image of rebellion against the establishment than about the exact, specific things Che did.

That's his healthcare working group. He is going to use the Cuban healthcare system as the prototype for the government run system he is going to implement in the US. :2wave:

So what your saying is... be sure to go to your doctor before January 20, 2009, because you might not get another chance. :2wave:

Time to battle the stupid again:roll:

All this proves is that an idiot in Texas, a state long known for their idiots, put up a Che flag. Barack has no control over what goes on in his field offices. There's just too many of them. To blame him for their actions is just deceitful.

On putting his hand over his heart- he does. There was just one picture where he doesn't have his hand over the flag. He does put his hand over the heart for the pledge of allegiance. Here's one example picture.

Here's him leading the pledge of allegiance.

YouTube - Obama Recites Pledge of Allegiance before Senate on 6/21/07

And if he doesn't wear a lapel flap pin... who CARES? I don't see how that matters in the slightest.

Pretty much.

Texas is known for thier idiots? Is this a scientific position you hold or a bigoted one?

His campaign office, his policies attract those types.

I don't think snopes likes you hot linking.

Wow so he is an opportunist.

He made it an issue by stating he won't wear one.

But don't mind me I just want a president that likes this country.... Is that too much to ask?

It's a bigoted one. Too many bad experiences in Lubbock, TX.

His campaign office, his policies attract those types.

It still doesn't prove anything, other than he has a fan out there that thought the flag was a good idea. Let's not judge someone by their followers, there's idiots in every group.

When has Obama shown he doesn't like this country. if you watch his speeches, he's always talking about how great America is. He just doesn't see the need to to wear a pin to show his patriotism, he'd rather have people talk to him and get to know him and realize he's patriotic. I fail to see the problem.

Sorry to hear that. sore or something? ;)

Well its sort of fitting. I ask would you ever see one in any republicans offices?

Just showing a picture. that is all.

This attempted smear of Obama is so trite, so silly, that it is beyond description. After the fall of the Soviet Union, clothing with the hammer and sickle was the in thing in fashion. Today, Che Guevara is in fashion, but it is a fashion, nothing more, and has nothing to do with the ideological leaning of ANYBODY. Take away what Guevara stood for, a lot of people believe he does look pretty neat on clothing, just as people thought the hammer and sickle looked pretty neat years ago. One manufacturer of the Guevara items states in it's advertisement "The Revolution will be accessorized", which is a pretty big marginalization of Che.

You know, there are plenty of things you could hit Obama with. They are called issues, and there are quite a few of them. To try hitting him with something this silly is..... well, silly, and juvenile. If this, and Obama's middle name are all the GOP has on him, they are in huge trouble this year. My advise is to go to war with Obama on something of substance. Once more, let me stress......

The issues.

Obama is a socialist. So was che. Flag cuba, blah blah blah

Not talking points. Issues. I am sure you know the difference. For instance, what in Obama's health care platform is different than McCain's, and why don't you like it? Talking points and silly 10 second sound bites are not going to cut it this year.

If you want me to vote McCain instead of Libertarian this fall, you had better convince me. So far, you have done a very poor job of it.

Uhm short term. who do you remember I said I was voting for?

Yay...A Latino identifies with Che Guevara! Now if only that was actually news. Che Guevara has a huge following in Latin America from both socialists and capitalist nations. It's referred by some as "The Cult of Che". He was basically that little dude that went to fight off the bigger guy who had a bat with a stick. The cult doesn't just extend to his political ideologies. It also extends to his travels and incredibly insightful views of human interaction and the suffering of Latin Americans under the ruthless right wing dictatorships of the 50s and 60s.

Wonder what the opinions of the posters in this thread would be if it had been a Confederate flag in a Repub's office.

Hmmm....McCain won South Carolina didn't he?

I'd bet plenty of people who voted for McCain had Conf. flag stickers on their trucks/cars or even flying from their Capital Building.

And does the name Jesse Helms mean anything?

I'm sure there are no Conf. flags flying in North Carolina.

His followers hanging a Cuban flag in their local office means nothing to me. It's no threat to our nation. It's a piece of material with a flag. Are there legions of socialists in the streets trying to overthrow the government? No there are not. There are legions of Democratic voters who are sick to death of the Republican party and the neo-cons.

So some of them idealize Che. I think the guy was a murderous criminal. But that is just me. Last time I checked there was nobody on the ticket who idolized Che. But if we are going to play this fiddle, you don't want to forget that Stormfront is supporting Ron Paul. Haven't we had this discussion before?

People need to relax. This means absolutely nothing. Our mixed capitalist society will soldier on long after we are dust in the earth. It has survived a multitude of Republican and Democratic presidents...it will continue to do so.

This is getting really boring.

And you think that is the same as in a campaign office. Interesting...

And does the name Jesse Helms mean anything?
Didn't he die a while back? You could use Robert Byrd of WV as an example although he is also dead and just doesn't know it yet.

I'm sure there are no Conf. flags flying in North Carolina.
In a candidate's campaign office? So let's see the pictures from a credible source or are you just making things up again?

I don't give two hoots in hell what the Obama cult members hang in his offices, but I am sure if the shoe were on the other foot those who have indicated they think it is a great thing in this case would be yelping their heads off. ;)

This is the same man who won't wear an American flag pin or put his hand over his heart during the anthem....

Could you elaborate on this?
I intend to vote for Obama due to foreign policy alone.
But if he has some type of anti-American position other than being for world peace, then I would want to know about it.

Is there an Obama supporter that can explain to me why he would not respect the flag and anthem?

This is a completely fair point.

The link is just not credible, and I will tell you why:

1) This is not Obama's main campaign office, but an obscure office in Houston, TX. I live in Houston, and Obama has not come here at all this year. So you accuse Obama of supporting Cuba, when someone in the Houston campaign office decided to make a fashion statement? Jeez, how freakin' dishonest can you get? Hillary, however, will make her first stop here tomorrow. Here's an idea. Blame Hillary. Here's another idea. Whitney Houston showed up on Feb. 10. Perhaps you could call her a Communist because she didn't do anything about it either. The Mayor of Houston was there. Perhaps you can call him a Communist too. Or better yet, call everyone who attended Communists - Yea, that's the ticket. Nothing like pure hate to make a point.

2) Guess what your link points to? Yup, the lie that Obama does not put his hand over his heart when he says the pledge of allegiance. There ya' go, some real fodder here, although this lie has been debunked several times in this forum already, so I can't add anything that hasn't been discussed already.

3) Ohhhhhh - Says he does not wear a flag pin. That is truly damning. One problem with it though. If Fascism does come to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross. Hmm, I wonder what Jesus would do. Seems these hypocrites don't have a clue. They will keep sending our soldiers to their deaths for 30 pieces of silver, as long as it suits their immoral purpose. Want to support the troops? Give them back their education benefits, improve the squalid conditions in the VA Hospitals, and quit throwing our vets in the garbage can once you done with them, and they have no more use for you. Doing THIS is more patriotic, and worth more than every American flag lapel pin that has ever been manufactured in China.

4) One more point about the flag pins, yellow ribbons, etc. It seems that those who are least willing to make a sacrifice themselves are the biggest cheerleaders. However, most (although not all) of our Republican leaders never served a day in the military in their lives, and would rather spill somebody else's blood. Where is the freaking patriotism in that? This isn't about patriotism, folks. It's about pure cowardice, and I will be the first to call Dick Cheney one, since he is the biggest cheerleader of all. On this, however, I give John McCain a pass. He's been there. When are you going for real and not just for a damn photo op, Dick?

Once again. If you want to defeat Obama, do it on the issues. The American people are not as easily fooled now than they were 8 years ago. If you keep going there, expect the weather forecast in GOP land to be gloomy for a very, very long time, and expect the base to stay home or vote for someone else for just as long. Frankly, Scarlett, we don't give a damn, neither for you, nor what you stand for. After all, we are Americans. Can't say the same for you.
