The next thing you know, chimps will have the right to hire a lawyer, chimps will have the right to sue you, chimps will have the right to protest, chimps will have the right to vote, and we may even end up with a chimp for president....... This has happened mainly because we do have a chimp in the WH and he is fighting for the rights of his species. Way to go.:applaud :applaud
 
They want some rights they better fight for em. Nobody gives you anything that precious in this world, you have to take it.

You are aware it is April 1st?I know at times it seems liberalism can be a serious mental disorder,but I think this would have to be pushing it if it is a real story.
 
Fully 20% 0f liberals and 20% of conservatives are totally off their rockers and suffer grave mental disorders. This is the way of the world. This 40% seem to be incurable.

I agree that Liberalism can be devastating. Look at what it has done to Bush:

1) Spends like a drunken sailor.
2) Has created the biggest government since FDR.
3) Has us in a quagmire even bigger than the one LBJ got us into.
4) Created a bigger police state than even Janet Reno did.
5) Completely abandoned the Reagan ideal of personal freedom.
6) Completely abandoned the Reagan ideal of personal responsibility.
7) Completely abandoned the Reagan ideal of treating our troops with dignity.
8) Has more corruption in his administration than even Mayor Daily in Chicago did.

If Liberalism is a disease, then GW Bush is the poster boy for that disease.

No, if he was a liberal he wold tax-&-spend. What he's doing is more spend-&-spend, with possibly a few tax cuts on the side.

I am making sure the conservative politicians I elected do not allow Bush amnesty to go through and to oppose the traitor-cat's surrender date bill they disguised as a troop funding bill with a **** load of pork designed to bribe the fence sitters.

Well, I do think chimps have a higher degree of self-awareness and awareness of their surroundings that most other animals, and because of that, I wish scientists would refrain from using them as test subjects in research laboratories.
I also understand that some use of chimps for medical research is probably inevitable, because of the fact that they are closely biologically related to humans.
But if the research isn't crucial to human quality of life- if it involves, say, torturing chimps in order to test a new brand of shampoo, rather than torturing chimps in order to try out a new life-saving vaccine for humans- then I wish they wouldn't do it.

Research shows more and more how amazingly intelligent, reflective, and aware chimps are. I think that should be taken into consideration. If there were such a thing as a "soul" (personally, I don't think there is), then chimps must surely have a soul, if humans do.

Alot of those animals rights groups are full of idiotic nutjobs,look as PETA for example.
 
Doesn't sound far fetched to me at all. I've had numerous people on this forum claim that being a member of the species homosapiens does not make you A HUMAN but instead traits such as brain capacity, developmental level, sentience, ect qualify one for "human-ness"? So apparently "HUMAN" is a term that is quite debatable. :cool:

How about animal rights for humans. They way some people treat animals is better than humans are treated. A stray dog gets a meal a homeless person gets the crap kicked out of him.

Stray dogs also get euthanized.
I assume you don't support euthanasia as a solution to the homeless problem? :confused:

On the other hand, a beloved domestic pet gets euthanized when he is chronically or terminally ill, and his quality of life is irretrievably gone.
Terminally ill humans languish in mortal agony for years- bedridden and drug-addicted, with tubes hanging out of every orifice- emotionally, financially, and psychologically bankrupting their loved ones.

Yeah, I guess being treated like a dog wouldn't be so bad after all. :shrug:

I guess notbody here watches animal planet. 10 PM Eastern. The Animal Cops and the rescue groups. The animals who got lost or made stray by Katrina got better care than the humans in the same boat. I think the next time i have a problem instead of 911 I'll just call animal control. I won't eat the pet food though. My dog told me that he believes there a conspiracy to do away with all the dogs and cats in America. There are some evil people out there.
